Elm City Social in New Haven hosts “The Mixer” on Tuesday June 4.  The event, which takes place on Elm City Social's rooftop patio in New Haven, includes a live mural by Magge Gagliardi, a bartending competition, Collective Arts beer, and samples of their new gin.  5pm-Close. 

Taste of Bishops Corner 2019 takes place in Hartford on Wednesday June 5.  The indoor/outdoor event features Harrys Bishops Corner, Crown Market, Blue Plate Kitchen, OCHO and more. 

June 5, 2019 marks the 11th Annual SoNo Stroll Benefit.  In its eleventh year, the Stroll has become the biggest and most successful fundraiser that benefits the Human Services Council.

Cheer on CT’s own Chef Brian Lewis, of The Cottage and OKO, as he competes on Beat Bobby Flay, airing Thursday, May 30th @10PM.

“We taped this episode months ago and I’m excited for everyone to see this episode of ‘Beat Bobby Flay.’  Just as I cook my heart out in the kitchens at OKO and The Cottage, I gave it my all for the competition. Tune in to see if I had the chance to go head to head with Bobby!” says Chef Lewis.

The episode is intriguingly titled “Bye Bye Birdie,” and features Food Network's Michael Symon and Jet Tila working hard to outsmart their good friend Bobby Flay. They bring in one of his proteges, Chef Rebecca Weitzman, and fine dining's finest, Chef Brian Lewis, to muscle Bobby out of his kitchen.

On Tuesday May 21, Max a Mia hosts a Beer Dinner on the Patio featuring Victory Brewing Company. The evening begins with a 6:30 reception and continues with sit down dinner. Special Guests are Adam Lang and Aron Daniels from Victory Brewing Co with a menu by Chef Stephen Lundgren.

Join the Stratford Health Department and A Pinch of Salt's Raquel Rivera-Pablo to learn how to make easy and kid-friendly recipes using ingredients found in the garden on Tuesday May 21. Wakeman Town farm and Marcia Selden Catering are teaming up for a Spring Dinner on the Farm.   On Tuesday May 14, Robin and Jeffrey Selden will be teaching participants a seasonal three-course meal, plus three signature cocktails. Then, sit down together to enjoy the feast! 

“A Taste of Hope Street” takes place on Wednesday May 15 in Stamford.  Restaurants along the street, like Vinny’s Backyard, Olio Restaurant, and Amore Cucina & Bar will have samples.  There will be beer, wine, and entertainment as well.  Proceeds go to Healing Hearts. 

ARTISAN Restaurant, Tavern and Garden is kicking off the summer season on its patio by uncorking its private label Rosé wine at its annual Kick-off Garden Party in West Hartford on Thursday, May 16th from 6-8 PM.  Experience the spectacular outdoor setting while enjoying Artisan Rosé wine and craft cocktails from the cash bar, along with complimentary hors d'oeuvres in the picturesque Artisan garden. 

Our House in SoNo hosts Casino Night on Friday May 19.  $25 includes Poker/Roulette, a Raffle, Give-aways, and Paparazzi.  Opt for the 7-8pm VIP All Inclusive with Hors d'oeuvres and vodka bar plus 1000 casino chips.

Ordinary is celebrating its six-year anniversary with a series of new initiatives officially kicking off on Wednesday, May 8. Ordinary will be transformed into the “Greatest Show on Earth” with Circus themed décor, food specials, and drink specials.

Spiga Restaurant Group is hosting its own “Spiga Restaurant Group Week” from April 22-25.  They are celebrating spring with a 4-day restaurant week event featuring 3-course lunch and dinner prix fixe menus. The Spiga family includes Molto in Fairfield, Spiga in New Canaan & Lugano’s in Greenwich. Lunch $20.19, Dinner $30.19.

On Tuesday April 23, Union Kitchen presents a 4 course dinner featuring WhistlePig Rye Whiskey.  Tickets are $80.00 per person plus tax and gratuity and may be purchased online at UnionKitchen-ct.com/Events.

Pearl at Longshore Restaurant and Bar is excited to announce Gatsby’s Return 2019. This year’s event will be on Saturday, April 27 at 7pm. Stew Leonard’s famous costumed characters – including Clover the Cow, Cynthia Chick, and Daphne Duck – will be available to take pictures with children at the end of the Egg Hunt. Two lucky children will win the Egg Hunt’s grand prizes: a $50 gift card to the LEGO Store or a $50 gift card to Pottery Factory.

On Monday April 1, Amis Trattoria in Westport hosts a Wine Dinner with French Winery Domaine Chante Cigale. Guests will get the chance to meet the vineyards winemaker, Jean Yves, while enjoying a 4-course meal created by Culinary Director, Brad Spence, paired with wines and homemade limoncello crafted by the Amis team.

Oyster Club in Mystic invites you to a Panel Discussion entitled “Women's Work: In the Field” on Tuesday, April 2 from 6-7:30pm.  Join them and celebrate remarkable women who are growing and producing food in our region. Enjoy a farm-inspired cocktail and sample tastes from the land and the sea from women growers and chefs.

On April 4, Artisan West Hartford will be joined by Edrington Whiskey Representative Jeremy Fonicello for an evening of Macallan Whiskey.  Dishes include Hazelnut Crusted Rack of Lamb, Whisky Flambe Maryland Rock Shrimp, Molten Lava Cake, and more.  The event starts at 6:30 and tickets are $100 per person. 

Flinders Lane Kitchen & Bar will be hosting 'Symphony Uncorked' in collaboration with the Stamford Symphony Orchestra on April 3rd, from 6.30 - 9..30. Musicians will play two pieces of music whilst we pour Australian wines from smaller, boutique producers.

On Wednesday March 27, Washington Prime in SoNo will have a Frank Family Vineyards Wine Dinner.  They will pair 5 courses with wines from this prestigious Napa Valley producer.  It is $95 per person. 

Rothbard Ale + Larder is giving us a crash course on German beer on Thursday March 28.  Tony Pellino of B. United Imports and OEC will guide you through brews and food pairings.  It costs $40 per person and starts at 6:30pm. 

Wine and cookie dough?!  Yes, please!  On Saturday March 30, Stonington Vineyards invites you to try wine flights alongside DoughLuv edible cookie dough.

Oar & Oak in Stratford now offers happy hour Tuesday-Friday from 4-6pm.

Dom’s Cheese Shop in Avon presents Cheese 101 on March 22.  They’ll walk you through 7 kinds of wine and teach you how to pair wines with cheese. 

Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre and The Wise Old Dog are combining their powers for a night of chef inspired after hours snacks, drink, and good times!  It takes place on 3/21 from 6-9pm.

The Schoolhouse at Cannondale invites you to a “Rockin Rhone Wine Dinner” on Wednesday March 20.  Four courses will be paired with 4 wines from the Rhone Valley.  It starts at 7pm and costs $95 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Wilton Restaurant Week returns March 11 – 17.  Restaurants located in and around Wilton are serving up special prix fixe menus and other culinary selections.  Participants include Bernard’s of Ridgefield, Oak and Almond, Parlor Restaurant, and more. 

EAT RAMEN!! During the month of March, Mecha Noddle Bar is donating 50 cents from every bowl of ramen to Food Rescue US - whose mission is to reduce hunger and food waste throughout the United States. Every dollar raised= 9 meals. Their goal is $5,000 (or 10,000 bowls of ramen) for the month.

Bistro on Main is delighted to announce a fundraiser dinner, with all proceeds to benefit Interval House, on March 11th at 6 pm.  Interval house provides often life altering assistance for men, women, and children fleeing domestic violence.  The 4 course meal is $85 per person. 

Carbone’s Kitchen, located at 6 Wintonbury Mall in Bloomfield, has launched three special weeknight menus that will run through the end of June.  Join them for “Delicious Monday,” Tuesday “Prince Spaghetti Night,” and Wednesday “Franklin Ave Lasagna Night.”  Each meal is a 3 course prix fixe menu for $25, plus tax and gratuity.

The James Beard Foundation announced today its list of Restaurant and Chef Award semifinalists for the 29th annual James Beard Foundation Awards. Selected from a list of more than 20,000 online entries, the prestigious group of semifinalists in 21 categories represents a wide range of culinary talent, from exceptional chefs and dining destinations nationally and in ten different regions across the U.S., to the best new restaurants, outstanding bar programs, bakers, and rising star chefs 30 or younger.

CT is proud to host a semifinalist for Best Chef: Northeast (CT, MA, ME, NH, NY State, RI, VT).

Bobby Q’s & Co. has partnered with Letizia’s Pizza to create a Pulled Pork Pizza that will be sold throughout February at Letizia’s.  All Proceeds raised from the purchase of this pie will be donated to “Filling in the Blanks,”  an organization that provides meals to kids in need on weekends.  Go forth and eat pulled pork pizza!!

On Monday February 4, The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum in Hartford hosts “Food & Film: Crazy Rich Asians.”  The evening begins with a screening of the hit moves at 4pm and continues with dinner catered by Mill Restaurant Group.  Tickets start at $60.

D.. who heads the wine program at their sister restaurant, Parlor Pizza. 

Thursday January 17 marks the Greater Hartford International Pinot Noir Festival in Hartford.  Hosted by Max Downtown and sponsored by Gillette Ridge Wine and Spirits of Bloomfield, it takes place from 5:30-7:30pm.  It is $45 per person. 

On January 14, Doro Restaurant Group hosts its first ever food crawl!  Enjoy globally-inspired prix fixe menus at Treva, Zohara, and Àvert.  It starts at 6:30pm.
