Barcelona Wine Bar in Stamford hosts an “I Dream of Summer Suckling Pig Dinner Party” on Thursday 2/21 from 7-10pm.  Chef Michael Lucente ic cooking up a suckling pig roast, tapas, and serving them with sangria & cocktails to match.  Tickets are $40. 

Artisan West Hartford is unveiling two new “O’Keeffe Cocktails and Cuisine,” in support of The New Britain Museum of Art and Architecture’s new Georgia O’Keeffe installation (running February 22-June, 2019). Sample the gorgeous “Cocktail Art” at Artisan on Thursday, February 21st from 4:30pm-6:00pm at an “O’Keeffe Cocktail Party”. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets or at the door the day of the event.

Harbor Point is hosting its second annual Harbor Point Restaurant Week, beginning next Monday, February 18th through Sunday, February 24th – thought this might be of interest to CT Bites.

It’s a week-long event where participating Harbor Point restaurants will offer three-course, prix-fix meals $15, $25 and $35 for lunch, dinner and brunch options.

On Wednesday February 20, Rowayton Seafood presents a Taste of Piedmont & Tuscany Wine Dinner.  The seven course menu, complete with wine pairings, includes dishes like Copp’s Island Oyster, Prosciutto Wrapped Monkfish, and Smoked Salmon Panzanella.  It costs $100 per person and starts at 7pm.  Call 203-866-4488 for reservations.

Starting on February 20, ARTISAN will offer a three-course, prix fixe Theatre Menu in partnership with Playhouse on Park, West Hartford’s community theatre located less than 2 miles from ARTISAN Restaurant.  The menu will change seasonally based on Chef Frederic Kieffer’s direction and will be made available from 5-6:30 PM, the evening of the performances (Weds - Sat), so theatre-goers can choose to eat before the show.

Hop Haus in Southington is teaming up with 21st Amendment Brewing (all the way from California!) for a beer dinner on 2/21. This is the very first beer dinner 21st Amendment has ever done in CT!  Chef JakubGorgon and has prepared a California-inspired menu that will be brought to Hop Haus exclusively for the event and that aren’t available in CT.  Tickets are $70. 

Throughout the month of February, B.GOOD will donate $1 to No Kid Hungry for every kid’s meal ordered. The restaurant chain partnered with No Kid Hungry knowing that winter break and snow days can be particularly difficult for families and kids, including those in Connecticut – where 1 in 6 kids will struggle with hunger this year. The promotion will run at all B.GOOD U.S. locations, including the 4 in Connecticut.

Take in Hartford Hockey & Hops on February 22 at 5:30pm.  For only $50, this package includes 1 red level ticket for the game on February 22nd, 1 Hockey and Hops ticket (1.5 hours of unlimited beer tastings and light appetizers) and a commemorative beer tasting glass. Back East Brewing Company, Connecticut Valley Brewing Company, and Hanging Hills Brewing Company are all participating. 

Help Letizia’s Pizza & Bobby Q’s and Co fight childhood hunger.  Purchase a BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza for $12 and 100% of proceeds will go toward providing meals to children in need on the weekends.

In honor of National Margarita Day on February 22, Geronimo Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill, with locations in New Haven and Fairfield, will be offering a Margarita Shrimp Blue Corn Tlayuda and MezcalRita special.

SolToro at Mohegan Sun is also celebrating Margarita Day by offering SolToro a new margarita: the Most Interesting Margarita.  It is made with Jonathan Goldsmith’s (The Most Interesting Man in the World) Astral Blanco tequila.  Buy it for for $13 or $65 for a pitcher.

The Hops Company’s Annual Kona Luau takes place on February 22 starting at 5pm.  Beat the winter blues and escape to beer paradise with Hawaiian music, delicious Kona Brews, Limbo Contests, Hula Hoop Contests, Kona March, a Selfie Station, and Tropical Pizzas from Zuppardis!  And Kona is releasing their new beer, Gold Cliff IPA.

The 5th Annual Johnny Cash Birthday Bash will take place on February 22 at Walrus + Carpenter.  Come celebrate Johnny Cash's 87th Birthday and pay homage to his body of music. 

Kona Grill serves up an epic happy hour Monday-Friday from 2-7pm and again from 9pm-close- plus all day Sunday.  Join them for $1 house margaritas, $2 domestic drafts, $4 craft imports and drafts, and $5 kitchen and sushi appetizers.

The Tasty Yolk’s February special, aptly named “Buck Yeah,” consists of Venison chili over tortilla chips with shredded jack, two over easy eggs, and avocado aioli.

Hanging Hills Brewing Company in Hartford hosts “Pizza & Pils” on Saturday February 23.  From 2-5, they’ll pour Pilsners from Counter Weight, Fox Farm, Beer'd, Jack's Abby, Two Roads, Back East and Kent Falls alongside their own Hills Pils.  As if it couldn't get any better, Savoy Pizzeria of West Hartford is setting up their pizza oven and making personal sized artisinal pies. Precious Oysters will be in the tasting room serving up buck-a-shuck oysters from Connecticut.  Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. They’re only releasing 100 tickets in total though, so first come, first serve. 

Merlot on the Water is a wedding venue in Broad Brook, CT.  Join them for their open house on Saturday 2/23 from 12-3pm.  Meet the Chef & Staff, tour the venue, explore the outdoor garden, and sample menu items!  Advance registration is required and tickets cost up to $10.
