CLASP Homes of Westport hosts its 15th Annual Taste of Westport on Thursday, May 9 at The Westport Inn from 6-9:30pm. Taste specialties from more than 20 of this area’s finest restaurants, including Artisan Restaurant, The Spread, Harvest Wine Bar, Bobby Q’s Cue & Co., Amis Trattoria, Pearl at Longshore. There will be drinks, dessert, and entertainment as well. Tickets are $100 with the VIP Party, $75 for general admission, and $85 GA at the door. Ordinary is celebrating its six-year anniversary with a series of new initiatives officially kicking off on Wednesday, May 8. Ordinary will be transformed into the “Greatest Show on Earth” with Circus themed décor, food specials, and drink specials.

On Thursday, May 9 at 7pm, Brick Walk Tavern in Fairfield hosts Belle Pente Vineyard and Winery. The five course meal costs $95 pp (all inclusive).

Stop by Fresh Market on Saturday, May 11 from 12-4pm —just in time for Mother’s Day— where guests can purchase and decorate a $3 gourmet cupcake for mom. A dollar from each gourmet cupcake purchase will go to Feeding America.

Stew Leonard’s Newington is teaching toddlers how to make Healthy Snacks on Monday May 6. Kids ages 2-5 will prepare healthy granola bars, homemade cheese-its, and healthy banana splits! Please note that the class requires an adult to supervise their little one.

Chef Frederic Kieffer of ARTISAN has unveiled Artisan’s Spring Menu. The menu is delineated by four regions: The Garden, The Land, The Mill and The Sea. White Asparagus and an Artisan Waldorf Salad are available from The Garden portion of the menu. The Land portion boasts Hudson Valley Foie Gras with rhubarb relish. The Mill is graced by several choices including a Gemelli Primavera with a broccoli-sunflower pesto. The Sea offers Artisan’s signature Tuna Carpaccio dish with English peas and mint, among other offerings.

On Friday May 10, The YMCA of Greenwich invites you to its annual gala. A Night In Positano will take place at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park starting at 6:30pm. There will be cocktails, dinner, dancing, and more.

The Rotary Club of New London presents its annual Brewfest on the Beach spring beer festival at Ocean Beach Park on May 10, starting at 6pm. The event features tastings of more than 150 beers, food, wine tasting and live music. Tickets are $25 and proceeds benefit Camp Rotary, a nonprofit camp for New London students. newlondonrotary.org.

The Rising Pint Brewfest returns to East Hartford’s Rentschler Field on Saturday May 10. It features tastings from dozens of breweries, live music, and local eats. Proceeds from the event will go to Our Companions Animal Rescue and Folds of Honor Foundation. risingpint.com

Harmonies and Hops beer festival comes to Danielson on Saturday May 11. There will be craft beer tastings from Connecticut and New England breweries, food, live music and a cornhole tournament. General admission is $35. beerfests.com.
