Wakeman Town farm and Marcia Selden Catering are teaming up for a Spring Dinner on the Farm.   On Tuesday May 14, Robin and Jeffrey Selden will be teaching participants a seasonal three-course meal, plus three signature cocktails. Then, sit down together to enjoy the feast! 

“A Taste of Hope Street” takes place on Wednesday May 15 in Stamford.  Restaurants along the street, like Vinny’s Backyard, Olio Restaurant, and Amore Cucina & Bar will have samples.  There will be beer, wine, and entertainment as well.  Proceeds go to Healing Hearts. 

ARTISAN Restaurant, Tavern and Garden is kicking off the summer season on its patio by uncorking its private label Rosé wine at its annual Kick-off Garden Party in West Hartford on Thursday, May 16th from 6-8 PM.  Experience the spectacular outdoor setting while enjoying Artisan Rosé wine and craft cocktails from the cash bar, along with complimentary hors d'oeuvres in the picturesque Artisan garden. 

Our House in SoNo hosts Casino Night on Friday May 19.  $25 includes Poker/Roulette, a Raffle, Give-aways, and Paparazzi.  Opt for the 7-8pm VIP All Inclusive with Hors d'oeuvres and vodka bar plus 1000 casino chips. 

On Saturday May 18, Hunt Hill Farm hosts “Fermentation Magic” with Cheryl Paswater.  From 12-3pm, learn about the process and taste foods using the technique.  It costs $90.  On Sunday, join them again for “Foraging and Feasting” with Hayden Stebbins. 

On Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm, The Fresh Market stores will host a Food Fair with all proceeds going to Feeding America.

Half Full Brewery’s Whole Hog Pig Roast is back!  On May 19th, HooDoo Brown is coming down to the brewery and they're bringing a whole hog.  Tickets are on sale now here.

Cornerstone Restaurant Group has named chef Diego Burgos as their new Culinary Director at SolToro, Michael Jordan’s Steak House and 23.sportscafe in the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Burgos will be curating new menus at all three restaurants to focus on seasonal and local ingredients.  He will also be crafting vegetarian and vegan menus to ensure that the restaurants have something for all sorts of lifestyles and diets

Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill, located on the waterfront in New Haven, has launched its Spring Food and Cocktail menus.  New seasonal cocktail additions include Spring ’75 (Uncle Val’s Gin, Lavender Syrup, Bubbles), Portside (Taylor-Fladgate “Chip Dry” White Port, freshly-squeezed Cucumber-Yuzu Juice, Agave, Cilantro, Tonic), and more.  The new Spring food additions include Baked Brie Flatbread, Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho, and Black Capellini Fideos.  They’ve also started squeezing their own juice.

Milestone Restaurant in Redding now serves lunch!

Carbone’s Ristorante in Hartford has debuted a new spring menu.  New dishes include Shrimp with Spicy Pomodoro, Linguini allo Scoglio, Grilled Scottish Salmon, 18 oz. Bone-in Ribeye, and Tiramisu del Giorno.

Brewery Legitimus and Barden Farm have announced their CSABC 2019.  This year’s program will last 10 weeks, beginning July 11th through September 12th. Shares will include 64oz of Brewery Legitimus beer, 1 specially selected cheese and 1 box of seasonal produce. Some weeks may include other items from the farm such as jams, bread, eggs, and flowers. 

Flinders Lane Kitchen & Bar in Stamford is now open all day from 11.30am.  They serve an all day menu Monday to Friday and brunch on the weekends. Happy Hour is 4-7, 7 days per week.
