Tickets are on sale now for the Kitchen Crawl 2017 Culinary Fundraiser.  Experience 5 chefs in 5 designer kitchens...while helping to feed the hungry in our community!   Guests purchase a $55 ticket and proceed to 5 different Westport houses, where chefs from The Spread, Mecha Noodle Bar, Match Burger Lobster, Rothbard's & Cask Republic will be cooking just for you. Wine and beer is provided and paired by Stew's Wines + guests mixologist!

September 2nd, 7 -10 p.m., Pearl at Longshore is hosting a Summer Soiree Party on its patio. With partners Valor Spirits and The Greatest Blaze, they're donating proceeds from ticket sales to those 3 first responder departments in Westport and Fairfield. Tickets ($75 per person, discounts for groups of 6 or more) include hors d'ouevres, cocktails, music, raffle prizes and an auction. Click here for more information.

Enjoy Stamford Restaurant Week while you can!  Through September 4, participating restaurants are offering prix fixe lunches, dinners, and other specials. 

On Tuesday September 5, Little Pub Fairfield invites you to a beer dinner featuring PipeWorks.  Feast on a six course tasting menu alongside 6 complementary brews.  There will even be brewery only releases that you can’t get outside of Chicago!  If you are interested in reserving a seat, please email pipeworks@littlepub.com.

Thursday September 7 is your chance to meet esteemed winemaker Luciano Taliano!  He will be at New Canaan Wine Merchants, guiding guests through a tasting of his Barolos, Barbarescos, and more.  The event is FREE and 10% of the day’s sales will go to benefit the New Canaan Community Foundation.  The event runs from 7-8:30pm.  Please call (203) 972-0100 to reserve your space.

Basso Café in Norwalk will be celebrate its 10 year anniversary on Thursday September 7.  A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase for a private party hosted by Chef Renato Donzelli.  The part, which lasts from 6-10:30pm, will feature a champagne, a performance by DJ Moon Mehta, bite‐sized signature dishes, and two drinks per person.  Tickets are $100 each, with 10% of all ticket proceeds, as well as restaurant sales for the entire month of September, going to the Connecticut Food Bank. 

Friends of Sherwood Island Shorefest invites you to an end of summer party on Friday September 8 from 6-9pm.  Sip wine, munch on appetizers, and choose Lobster, Grilled Tenderloin or Salmon as an entrée.  (Kids' meals available).  There will also be live music and a silent auction.  Proceeds go to support the park.  www.friendsofsherwoodisland.org

Mill Street Bar and Table now offers Happy Hour Tuesday-Friday from 5-7pm at the bar.  Enjoy $1 oysters and clams along with the bar menu.

The Norwalk Oyster Festival returns this weekend!  Catch the festival Friday September 8 from 6-11pm, Saturday September 9 from 11am-11pm, and Sunday September 10 from 11am-6pm. 

On Saturday September 9, the Silo at Hunt Hill Farm will host a farm to table dinner from 5:30-10pm.  Enjoy a three-course meal prepared by Chef Bill Cosgrove with organic vegetables, cheeses, meats, chicken, and fruits.  There will even be ice pops from local farms!  It is $100 per person and reservations are required. 

The Flavour Wine Festival will take place at The Warehouse in Fairfield from 3-7pm on Saturday September 9.  There will be over 150 wines as well as food and live music.  Purchase tickets at goodworkslive.com.

Hub and Spoke in Black Rock, CT is celebrating its one year anniversary on Saturday September 9.  Join them for the The Hub Hullabaloo from 1-5pm with musical guest Green Eyed Lady.

The 5th Annual Hoptoberfest Beer and Wing Festival will take place at the Rotary Pavilion in Shelton on Saturday September 9.  From 1-5pm, sample an array of wings from local restaurants along with plenty of beer.  Tickets are $30 online through midnight on September 8 and $40 CASH ONLY at the door. 

The Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 6th Annual Slice of Saugatuck Festival will once again be taking over the streets of Saugatuck on Saturday September 9 from 2-5pm. Kosher Like Me, a lifestyle food blog, and Red Bee Honey, Weston, CT are co-hosting “Sweeten Your New Year,” a Rosh HaShanah Honey Tasting event on Tuesday, September 12 at Red Bee Apiary.  Marina Marchese, beekeeper, will lead guests on a guided tasting of five local honeys paired with artisanal cheeses, dark chocolate and seasonal produce. Liz Rueven, blogger, will share recipes and inspiration about using honey in unexpected ways in holiday menus.
