SoNo 1420, America’s Maritime Distillery in South Norwalk, CT, recently introduced its new food service partner, Norwalk’s popular LobsterCraft food truck. The partnership between SoNo 1420’s Double Gold Award-Winning whiskeys and spirits and LobsterCraft’s #1 voted lobster roll, make for a great new weekend visit in the Norwalk food scene.

This collab takes place amongst outdoor firepits, SONO 1420’s outstanding cocktails c/o mixologist Blake Poon, every Thursday-Saturday 5-9PM, with live music every Friday!

LobsterCraft began as a local food truck phenomenon in 2012, spearheaded by Captain Mike Harden, a Coast Guard Captain and licensed lobster fisherman in Norwalk. The brand quickly filled a void in the Connecticut culinary/catering landscape by offering over-the-top, hot buttery lobster rolls to hungry consumers looking for their next lobster roll fix. Today, LobsterCraft operates primarily as a catering company. Their new home at SoNo 1420 Distillery provides LobsterCraft fans a permanent location from which to enjoy their favorite lobster rolls all year round, along with new menu items featuring meats sourced from Darien Butcher Shop.

Some of our favorites included LobsterCraft’s signature lobster rolls (must eat), with their award-winning Coastal Roll (hot buttered lobster on a toasted bun), the Heatwave (hot butter infused with habanero and serrano peppers), and the Dirty Maynard (cold lobster with seasoned mayo and mirepoix).

Tasty sandwiches run the gamut from the DBS Burger (a blend of chuck, brisket, and short rib) with manchego cheese and bacon and onion jam, SeaSmoke Pulled Pork with cheddar and pickles, a Blackened Chicken sandwich with cheddar, avocado, and hot chili oil, a Grilled Mushroom Burger topped with mozzarella, roasted red peppers, arugula, and basil mayo, and LobsterCraft’s popular Mac-n-Cheese. Rolls and sandwiches come with Captain’s Pinch potato chips and a choice of slaw or pickles.

Private event bookings at SoNo 1420 will now feature the added convenience of in-house catering by LobsterCraft, which includes an extended menu offering of appetizers, chowder, salads, additional sandwiches, BBQ, and more. Distillery tours, mixology classes, and custom-engraved spirit bottle keepsakes can be added to make any private event extra special.

The SoNo 1420 Tasting Room is open on Thursday and Friday from 5-9 PM, and on Saturday from 2-9 PM, with Sunday hours to be announced soon!
