On Tuesday April 11, Kitchen ZINC in New Haven will host a fundraiser to benefit the Connecticut chapter of the ACLU.  Admission includes tastes of KZ Artisan Pizza, with beverages purchased upon consumption.  25% of sales will be donated. 

Millwrights and Bottle Stop Wine & Spirit Superstore are teaming up for a tapas style wine and food pairing on April 12, 2017.  Stay at the restaurant for dinner afterward and get 10% off your bill.  It runs from 6-7:30pm and costs $40 per person.  Call (860) 651-5500 to reserve.

Fresh Salt in Old Saybrook has debuted a new spring menu.  Under Chef d’ Cuisine Gese Rodriguez, they are using fresh seasonal ingredients to offer an assortment of new salads, sandwiches, soups, pastas, mains, and more.  Try the new dishes for lunch or dinner.  Reservations are recommended, and may be made by calling 860-395-2000.

Bear’s Smokehouse presents Taco & Trivia Tuesdays!  Enjoy $3 tacos after 3pm and compete in rounds of trivia from 7-10pm.  A portion of sales will be donated to the Hartford Boxing Center’s Foster Buddies Network.

Connecticut Hops For Hope returns for its second benefit, Beers For Brittany, on Sunday, April 23rd. The event will be held at the brand new Counter Weight Brewing in Hamden, and 100% of ticket sales, in person donations, and on site raffle ticket sales will benefit Brittany Vellucci, a young woman fighting through brain cancer. Tickets are on sale now. 

Stew Leonards in Newington, CT invites will offer an Easter cooking class for toddlers ages 2-5.  Classes run from April 11-15 at various times.  Visit their website to see the full schedule and choose the session that works best for you.   Freshly baked cinnabunnies, Easter confetti bars, and chick & bunny Oreo pops are all on the menu! 

On Wednesday April 12, owners Lisa and Glenn from Catch a Healthy Habit will visit Bloodroot as part of the restaurant’s 40th Anniversary festivities.  Join them at 6pm for a great vegetarian mash-up.

On Thursday April 13, The Lace Factory in Deep River hosts a technique cooking class.  They will show you three ways to prepare fish: broiling salmon, sautéing branzino and roasting cod.  It costs $60 per person. 

Sur La Table will have an Easter baking workshop on Friday April 14.  Join them in Canton for a class featuringhot cross buns, babka, and fresh custard.  The three hour class begins at 11am. 

Hub & Spoke in Bridgeport will celebrate Easter one day early.  Join them on Saturday April 15 for "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny," a family friendly breakfast buffet, from 10am-1pm.

A Secret Forest Dinner will take place in Naugatuck on Saturday April 15.  A secret location will be revealed to ticket holders on the day of the event, where they will enjoy grilled snacks, appetizers, beverages, and music from local artists. 

Winfield Street Coffee Will host a Stem + Co pop up show from April 4-24.  Their flower bouquets will be available at the coffee shop for purchase at $35 (and a complimentary cup of coffee). 

Connecticut restaurants are celebrating Easter!  Here is just a sampling of the holiday meals:

  • Redding Roadhouse will host an Easter buffet with a cold station, cheese and charcuterie display, pastries, an omelet station, waffle bar, hot buffet, and more.
  • L'escale's Easter brunch will include a raw bar, country table, an omelet station, a breakfast station, desserts, and more. Join them from 11am-4pm.
  • David Burke Prime in Foxwoods Foxwoods Casino, invites you to Easter brunch and dinner. Try their 100-day Dry Aged Cowboy Ribeye, Bourbon Glazed Pork Porterhouse, and more
