Caseus Fromagerie Bistro, located in New Haven, will hold a “Porters and Stouts Beer and Cheese Pairing Class” on Monday Dece,ber 4 from 6-7:30pm.  They’ll pair delicious dark brews with cheeses from their fromagerie.   Tickets are available online and costs approximately $45. 

On Tuesday December 5, Baldanza Café in New Canaan will team up with South Avenue Butcher for another Baldanza Butcher Dinner.  There are two seatings: 5:30pm and 7:30pm.  Tickets are $100 (which includes tax and gratuity) and can be purchased by calling 203-966-4000.

On Thursday December 7, Kosher Like Me food blogger Liz Rueven will present an interactive cooking class focusing on Chanukah latkes (potato pancakes). Students will prepare a classic recipe in addition to learning how to make seasonal variations and fruit sauces to top them with.  Feel free to BYOB. 

Soul Tasty in Stamford's Chef, Jean J will be featured on the TV show CHOPPED! They are having a viewing party Thursday, Dec. 7 at Acuario Restaurant (78 W. Park Place Stamford,CT) from 7:30-10:30pm (episode airs at 9pm). Head on over!

55 Wine Bar and Wood Grille in Fairfield invites you to a Holiday Wine Dinner on December 5 at 7pm.  The event, in conjunction with Harry’s Liquor Market, Hartley & Parker, and Vias imports, includes passed appetizers along with a five course sit down meal.  It costs $90 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Bar Sugo will host a Game Dinner on December 7 at 6pm.

The New Canaan Nature Center’s Holiday Market takes place on Thursday December 7 from 10am-3pm.  A $10 ticket get shoppers access to unique gifts items including jewelry, clothing, plants, and much more... plus it supports the Nature Center!   Join them for a preview party on December 6 from 7-9pm for $55.   

Alforno restaurant in Old Saybrook will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a wine dinner on Tuesday December 5 at 6:30pm.  Four classic Florentine courses will be paired with Banfi wines from the winemaker’s estates in Tuscany and Piedmont.  The dinner costs $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity.  For reservations, call 860-399-4166 or email Ben Zemmel at ben@alforno.net.

Guilford Mooring is hosting a “Bourbons, Food, Cigars, and Fire” event on Thursday, December 7 from 6:30-9:30pm.  Held in conjunction with Litchfield Distillery and the Owl Shop, the four-course dinner will be paired with Bourbons and Cocktails from the Distillery, with Brand Ambassador Dimitrios Zahariadis providing information on each drink.  Each bourbon has been paired with a cigar from New Haven’s Owl Shop, and, on the last course, guests will be invited to select a cigar to light up outside by the fire pits.  Tickets are $75 and must be purchased before the event. 

Pacifico New Haven invites you to “Pisco Tasting and Tapas” on Thursday December 7 from 7-10pm.   Learn about Pisco, a classic Peruvian liquor, alongside small plates, with an expert.  It costs $55 per person. 

Visit Outriggers in Stratford on Saturday December 9 for “Summer in December.”  The evening features music duo Dawn and Greg as well.

Newbrook Kitchen and Artisan Market hosts a Tasting Dinner on December 9 at 7pm.  The 6-course tasting menu changes based upon what is local and in season, and the meals are BYOB.  It costs $65 per person and reservations can be made by calling 203.557.6087.

Chef Lisa Parelli Gray and Wakeman Town Farm invite adults and teens ages 12-17 to a cookie swap on Saturday December 9 from 11am-1:30pm.  Students will be introduced to a number of doughs and the methods behind making them, ultimately learning to bake classics like Linzer tarts, snowballs, thumb print cookies, and chocolate cookies.  BYOB and a tin to take cookies home in!  It costs $65 per person and is limited to 16 people. 

There will be an opening for the exhibition of Susan Leggitt’s fine art at Bistro Du Soleil on Sunday, Dec. 10th, from 5-7 PM. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
