Holbrook Farm in Bethel will be hosting a series of farm dinners this summer in collaboration with local chefs and farms.  On Sunday June 26, Chef Jeff Taibe from Kawa Ni, Westport, will highlight the duck with dishes like Duck Soba, Strawberry and Rhubarb Toast, Napa Cabbage Wraps, Duck Bahn Mi, Favas and Strawberries with Radishes and Smoked Soy, and Tomatoes and Arugula with Barrel Aged Ponzu Sauce.  Learn more here.

The Artisanal Burger Company in Manchester will feature Back East Brewing Company in a beer dinner.  There will be a reception, a 3 course dinner, and dessert.  Guests can try brews like the Backeast Summer Ale, BoMo Dry Hopped Pilsner, Back East Ale, and Tony Goes Dancing Double IPA.  It costs $60 per person. 

On Tuesday June 28, Tarry Lodge will host a RED Supper to help (RED) in the fight against AIDS.  They’ll present a tasting menu along with wine pairings.  It is $100 per person at the Port Chester location and $75 per person in New Haven and Westport.

Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon is legendary… and now you can enjoy more wines from Caymus.  CAVA Wine Bar invites you to a Caymus Wine Dinner on Tuesday June 28.  Partake in dishes like soft shell crab, homemade fettuccini, and halibut alongside complementary wines.  It costs $89 per person.  Call 203-966-6946 to reserve.

Barcelona Wine Bar has several events in store this week.  On Tuesday June 28, the New Haven location will present “Composing Salads.”  In the spirit of summer, the Chef will demonstrate how to make salads from fresh ingredients.  On Thursday June 30, the West Hartford location invites you to an evening of Seafood and Wine.  Enjoy four courses of seafood tapas with wine pairings and dessert. 

The Newtown Farmers Market kicks off its season on Tuesday June 28 from 2-6pm at the Fairfield Hills Campus at Wasserman Way.  Catch them every Tuesday through October.

Hartford’s North End Farmers Market begins its 2016 summer season on Wednesday June 29.  Visit them at 80 Coventry Street, the North End Senior Center, from 10am-1pm on Wednesdays.

Wednesday nights are Trivia Nights at The Hops Company in Derby!  This Wednesday, June 29, will also feature an Oskar Blue tap takeover starting at 6pm.

Max’s Chef to Farm Dinner Series continues with “Vintage 2016” on Thursday June 30.  The evening will celebrate new vintage releases from Rosedale's Vineyard.  Chef Hunter Morton of Max's Oyster Bar will use wine to create tasty dishes.  The evening begins with a reception, continues with a tour, and concludes with an al fresco dinner.  

The Blind Rhino in Norwalk, CT is kicking off the 4th of July weekend with an epic celebration on Friday July 1.  5 of CT’s best DJs will compete for a $1,000 prize.  Come watch the showdown over summer brews and tasty dishes.
