The Jamie Oliver New Canaan Food Revolution returns to the Pop Up Park for the third year running with 18 FOOD STOPS on Saturday, May 14th between 10am – 12.30pm.  This year, the event will be hosted by Food Network star Chef Plum & Chopped Teen champ Hunter Zampa.  Particpants include Baldanza, elm, Locali, South End, Uncorked, Fjord Fish Market, Green & Tonic, and more.  The day focuses on promoting health and bringing families together through food.  

Barcelona Stamford is teaching us how to up our “grilling game!”  On May 11 at 7pm, they’ll showcase marinades, slow cooking, and smoking techniques.  It costs $35 plus tax and gratuity.  Please call for reservations.  

Ordinary in New Haven is celebrating rosé season.  Every week, they’ll feature a new rosé.  The offerings will cover a range of regions and styles.

Harry’s Wine & Liquor market in Fairfield is also celebrating rose.  Harry's Wine School presents “Rose Explosion! 2015 Vintage: the Best Year Ever!" on May 11.  It costs $35.00 per person.

“The Kitchen” at the Hartford Public Library is both a café and a farm-to-table catering business.  It helps the community by offering job training employment opportunities to residents in the surrounding areas.  On May 10, they’ll teach guests how to make one hour soups at the Hartford Public Library… and provide some to take home! 

The Meeting House Pub in Bethel, CT will host a five course beer dinner featuring brews from Two Roads Brewery on May 11.  Dishes include Duck empanadas with orange argodolce and warm rocket salad, Coffee and root beer braised pork belly, and more.  Tickets start at $60.

On Friday May 13, 2016 at 7pm, the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce and the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce will host the fifth annual FUSION event at the Velvet Mill Studios in the Stonington Borough.  The event celebrates the arts.  In addition to watching artistic demonstrations, guests will sample beer, wine, and food from local restaurants.   

Brews & BBQ returns to Danbury on Saturday May 14.  The event brings BBQ makers, local and national craft beers, and live entertainment together in Ives Concert Park.  It runs from 3-9pm and tickets are $15 each.

The 6th Annual Pint Rising Brewfest comes to West Hartford on Saturday May 14.  Enjoy over 250 beers from approximately 80 breweries, food from the area’s best restaurants and food trucks, and live music.  Event proceeds will go to the Folds of Honor Foundation, an organization helping families of those killed on active duty or have returned home severely wounded from duty and Our Companions, an organization that runs a no-kill shelter for pets here in Connectiicut.  Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 at the gate.  http://www.risingpint.com/
