Sound On Sound Music Fest Food & Beverage Lineup Released!

Of all the lessons I’ve learned in life which turned out to be Actually True, “No one ever laid in bed, late in life, and wished they went to fewer shows” is up near the top. Did a show get away from you this year? Maybe a weeknight concert series in a local park, and you just never found the time? Did a few notes of the Weezer and Future Islands show from the amphitheater in Bridgeport breeze through your car windows as you crept along on I-95? Shaking your head Yes? Well shake it off like you’re erasing an Etch-a-Sketch, and take your last festival opportunity of 2023 in Connecticut this Sept. 30 – October 1 in Seaside Park at Sound On Sound.

The complete setlist for the shows can be found HERE, but we’re not Pitchfork, so here’s a look at the food and drink options to keep you going at this year’s banger...

Festival Food

There will be over 50 vendor locations sitewide, highlighting local Connecticut and regional favorites. 

Standouts include breakfast from PopUp Bagels and The Tasty Yolk,  smoked fried chicken sandwiches from chef Damon Sawyer of Bridgeport’s own 29 Markle Ct., wings and more from The Blind Rhino, apizza via Zuppardi’s and Fire Engine Pizza Co., and more unusual options like Grumpy Dumpling Co., and Freskos Greek.

Hungry for more? Take a look at the lineup: Walter’s Hot Dogs, Bona Bona Ice Cream, Nordic Fish, Pau Pau’s Pizza Cones, Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ, Ted’s Restaurant,  Parker. Eatery & Bar, Liberty Rock Tavern, This Girl Shucks, Una Dolce Vita, Garelick & Herbs, Lemonate’s, Rise Brewing Co. cold brew, Micalizzi’s, Little Pub, Wakin’ Up Waggin’, Crispy Melty, Donut Crazy, Manchester Cheesecake Company, and Gotham Burger Social Club will all be there for your refueling needs.

Drinks To Go

Dancing is thirsty work, and vintner Josh Cellars will support the festival, while beer fans can have their pick from a variety of offerings from East Rock Brewing Company, Two Roads, Blue Point, Fiddlehead, Kona, Sloop, and Stella Artois. 

Not a beer fan? Downeast Cider, Fishers Island Lemonade, Hoop Tea Spiked Iced Tea, JuneShine and White Claw have you covered. Cocktail selections include an Aperol Spritz, the Don Julio Californication Margarita, a Dos Hombres Mezcaloma, a Redemption Whiskey Old Fashioned, or Tito’s Sparkling Lemonade.

Sound On Sound is still a month away, so there’s still plenty time to plan it out, and share in the groove.
