20+ Places for Oktoberfest in CT: 2019 Edition

It may be called OKTOBERfest, but 2019’s Oktoberfest festivities are kicking off as early as September!  Breweries are creating their own German inspired beers while popular restaurants are providing their own renditions of bratwurst and more.  Get your lederhosen ready… Oktoberfest 2019 is here!

The Hops Company, Derby

The Hops Company will be hosting its 4th annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 13, 2019 beginning at 12:00pm.  Featuring Von Trapp Brewery, the day will include live bands, giveaways, and specialty casks.  A highlight of The Hops Company’s Oktoberfest is the Stein Hoisting Contest.  Each winner will receive an overnight stay for two at the Von Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT.

Half Full Brewery, Stamford

Oktoberfest in the Park, presented by Half Full Brewery, returns to Stamford on September 27 & 28.  Festivities include food trucks, a Pop-Up Beer Garden, and Live Music from a variety of local and regional acts. The festival is held in support of the Mill River Park Collaborative and takes place on The North Lawn & Grand Steps in Mill River Park in downtown Stamford. 

Troupe429, Norwalk

Saturday October 5 is PRIDEtoberfest at Troupe429 in Norwalk.  The free event features plenty of drinks, food, and live performances. 

Sandy Hook Craft Beer Festival, Newtown

Just in time for your Octoberfest parties comes the Sandy Hook Craft Beer Festival.  There are currently over 45 breweries signed up and 6 food trucks.  Additional vendors will provide food, candy, spirits and other shopping fun.  Join them Saturday October 15 from 1-5pm.

Terrain Autumn Bounty Festival, Westport

Celebrate everything that the season has to offer at Terrain’s first Autumn Bounty Festival on Saturday October 5 from 11am-4pm.

The Spread, Norwalk

Save the date- October 16- for The Spread’s Harvest Party.  Meet and Eat for a great cause with Daphne Oz of The Chew and their very own Chef Carlos Baez.  Proceeds go to Friends of Autistic People.

Borough Brewfest, Naugatuck

The 2nd Annual Borough Brewfest comes to Linden Park on Saturday September 21 at 4pm.  Come down and enjoy delicious brews from over 50 craft breweries, largest wine selection for a brew fest, 10 food trucks, local restaurants, pig roast, and premium vendors.

Rothbard Ale + Larder, Westport

The gastropub hosts its annual Oktoberfest party on September 28 at 1pm.  They’ll be serving authentic German beers, wines, and dishes.  Live music featuring Symphonic Bodega at 2pm and the Pocket Hotties starts at 7pm.

Bushnell Biergarten Oktoberfest, Hartford

On Saturday October 28, Hartford’s Bushnell Park turns into a an official Biergarten! They'll have tons of Oktoberfest and German-style beers, food, live music and games!  General Admission ticket includes entry to festival, commemorative stein, and a first beer.

Stone Acres Farm, Stonington

German food and brews!  Live music by the Polka Brothers! Stein-holding and bratwurst-eating competitions!  Stone Acres Farm’s Oktoberfest on Saturday October 5 has it all.  $10 entry fee with food and beverages available for purchase.

East Rock Brewing Company Oktoberfest

Save your trip to Munich and come celebrate in New Haven at the only German-inspired brewery in CT! Reverie Brewing Company, Newtown

Reverie's 1st annual Oktoberfest will be October 12 from 11am -5pm.  A $25 ticket includes a commemorative 10oz glass, two drinks, access to additional drink specials all day, a special cask beer release, contests, kids’ activities, and live music.

Charter Oak Brewery, Danbury

Cornhole meets Oktoberfest on Saturday October 5.  Grab a partner or pair up with someone at the event that runs from 12-5pm.

The Beer Garden @ Shippan Landing, Stamford

The Beer Garden at Shippan Landing closes out its season with FOUR days of Oktoberfest from September 12-September 15.  $15 gets you a free stein for the weekend with the first beer on them and $6 refills all weekend.  Cornhole, Jumbo Jenga, and Keg Bowling sponsored by Half Full Brewing.

Two Roads, Stratford

The 7th Annual Two Roads Ok2berfest takes place September 21 starting at 12pm.  In addition to the brewery’s own tasty drafts, there will be Authentic German music, German-style beers, food, games and more. 

Wakeman Town Farm, Westport

Held on the Farm's grounds and under a festive tent draped with twinkling lights, Harvest Fest is a magical evening featuring fabulous fare and libations, generously contributed by local farmersand prepared by rock star chefs.  It takes place on Saturday September 14 at 6pm.  $150 per person.

Broken Symmetry Gastro Brewery, Bethel

Broken Symmetry and the town of Bethel invite you to Downtown Oktoberfest 2019.  The brewery will be pouring Oktoberfest, Festbier and Hefeweizen alongside food vendors like Taproot, J Lawrence, La Zingara/ ECCO rooftop, and House of Yoshida.  There will be contests including the infamous "Stein Holding" contest and activities scheduled throughout the day.

East Side Restaurant, New Britain

Every day is Oktoberfest at East Side Restaurant in New Britain! Complete with a "Munich" Room and English Bier Garden, you can enjoy German beers and cuisine.

Milford Oktoberfest, Milford

The Devon Rotary invites you to join the 30th Annual Milford Oktoberfest.  Last year’s festival was such a hit that they’ve expanded it to 2 days: Friday September 21 and Saturday September 22.  It all takes place at the Rotary Pavilion at Fowler Field behind the Milford Public Library.

Max’s Chef to Farm, South Glastonbury

Max Restaurant Group and Crystal Ridge Winery in South Glastonbury present an exclusive fall harvest dinner featuring locally sourced cuisine and wines from the winery.  The menu is designed to highlight the best of the end of what autumn has to offer.  October 24 6-9pm.

Stony Creek, Branford

Stony Creek's annual Docktoberfest will unfold on October 5. They're turning the brewery into a German Beer Garden with live music, games, food trucks, and beer! 

Powder Ridge, Middlefield

On October 5, the mountain will be bursting with brews, bratwurst and bands!  Live bands will perform throughout the day… and don’t miss the infamous Keg Toss Competition!  Powder Ridge Mountain sports will also be open.

Rowayton Community Center

The 7th annual Oktoberfest Fundraiser will be at the Rowayton Community Center on Saturday, October 5th, from 5:30-10:00pm. Grab your lederhosen and dirndls and come join us for German food, German bier, and an evening filled of singing and dancing. A guaranteed evening of fun!

Haus, Bridgeport

Thursday Sept 26 Austrian boys music at 6pm, Stein Hoisting, Two Roads brewing on hand with special cask offering of Roadsmary's Baby. Weihenstephan will be hosting on October 10. Austrian boys every Thursday through the 17th of October for live music, stein hoisting, all night happy hour.
