50+ Spots to Celebrate Oktoberfest in Connecticut (2026 Edition)

Carly Terzigni

It’s hard to believe, but 2026 is flying by! It feels like we were just talking about waterfront dining, lobster rolls, and ice cream, but we’ve quickly arrived at Oktoberfest season! The annual festival marks the end of summer, and a celebration of all things harvest, gathering with friends, and, of course, stein holding competitions and plenty of beer.

September and October are busy months for breweries around Connecticut, but you’ll also find a few restaurants taking part in the festivities. This guide is organized by county, so all you have to do is scroll to your local area and see which businesses are offering an Oktoberfest celebration this season! Prost!

https://events.beerfests.com/e/westoberfest/tickets

The 9th Annual Westoberfest Craft Beer & Family Fall Festival returns to Downtown Westport on Saturday, October 3rd, from 1-5 PM. This beloved fall tradition brings together craft beer enthusiasts, families, and the entire community for an afternoon full of flavor, music, and fun. In collaboration with The Grapevine, the tasting tent will showcase a wide selection of carefully curated craft brews from award-winning and innovative breweries, served in a commemorative 2026 tasting glass with a matching koozie to take home. Returning this year, Castle Wine & Spirits returns as your event sommeliers, guiding festival-goers through seasonal wine pairings that complement the flavors of fall and fit perfectly with the Oktoberfest spirit. Enjoy live music by One Bad Oyster, delicious bites from various local food trucks, and a lively vendor marketplace with local businesses lining Elm Street from top to bottom.

This year, families can look forward to hands-on creative activities, including a Fall-Inspired Mandala art project with One River School of Art & Design and parent-child creative play with Whimsy Works Atelier. These additions bring a new artistic, hands-on element to the festival, giving families another way to create and connect at Westoberfest. Festival attendees can also join in friendly contests and raffles for a chance to win a fun prize. Tickets are on sale now at westportdowntown.com/westoberfest.
