Parkville Market in West Hartford will be offering much more than just beer and bratwurst during their Oktoberfest celebration — guests can enjoy foods from more than 20 culturally diverse food vendors at Parkville. The market will be open during normal business hours during the two-week festivities. Daily beer specials; Daily entertainment (trivia, karaoke, live music, salsa lessons, etc.) Saturdays: Official OK-To-Beer-Fest (ticketed event) in The Hall from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. with Live German music, Stein hoisting contests, Raffle prizes, Festive food pop-ups and much more.

An Evening in the Caribbean, October 14 at the Mattatuck Museum. Join us on the Rooftop Terrace as we sample rums from different Connecticut and New England distilleries, handpicked cigars courtesy of Cenizas Cigars, and hors d’oeuvres that blend the flavors of various Hispanic cultures. Tickets for this event also include free entry into the Closing Celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month taking place on the same date from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Char & Lemon, an upscale pizza restaurant has just opened in Oxford, CT. The restaurant features 2 dueling pizza ovens where guests can watch along as their pizza is being made, a rooftop patio, specialty cocktails and Italian-inspired pasta dishes.

A'MAZE'ing Beer Tasting at Lyman Orchards Corn Maze is October 15th at Lyman Orchards. Wander through the corn maze to sample beer from local breweries this fall! Beer tasting inside the Lyman Orchards Rock n' Roll themed Corn Maze. Guests can arrive any time between 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., grab a beer, and head into the maze. The last entry into the maze is at 6:45 p.m. The ticket includes six 4 oz. beer samples and corn maze ticket, 21 and over event (please bring ID). Adult-only event. October 1, 15 & 29, from 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Don’t miss the Beer Garden at the Farm, Sunday, Oct. 17, noon-4. Wakeman Town Farm, 134 Cross Hwy, Westport. Put on a sweater, bring a blanket or lawn chairs, and join us for live music by Hitch + the Giddyup and Rob Morten, pizza from our wood-fired oven by Tony Pizza Napolitano, tacos by Urban Taqo, crepes by Christophe’s Crepes, and Craft Beer by Nod Hill Brewery, Veracious Brewing and New Belgium Brewing. Play a little cornhole or browse the local wares from a few of our favorite small vendors. It’s a family affair, so bring your whole crew! We will have a kids’ area with pumpkin decorating, and live animal encounters for the littles, too. Entry tickets are $10 per adults. Kids are free. Food + beverage purchases are a la carte. Proceeds benefit Farm educational programs.

Westoberfest New England Craft Beer tasting is Westport's 3rd annual Craft Beer Tasting event in the downtown area. The fun begins at noon, beer tasting is from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Tons of delicious beers to try plus music, food, 10k road race, vendors, classic cars, and a pumpkin giveaway. Westoberfest New England Craft Beer tasting is a rain or shine downtown event produced by the Westport Downtown Association. Each tasting patron will receive a tasting glass to take home with a beer koozie too!  Food by Walrus and Carpenter plus more, live music from Amber Anchor, a fantastic new 10K Road Race kicks off the day's activities at 12.30 p.m. The Small Car Company will bring along a rally of exciting air-cooled classic cars to check out later in the day.  We're planning a pumpkin giveaway and apples nearby. This is a craft beer experience in downtown Westport - not to be missed. Plan to stay for dinner at one of downtown Westport's many restaurants - many with outdoor seating and more live music.

The A-MAIZE-ing Connecticut Beer Festival is October 16. This celebration of Connecticut Agriculture is in the name of charity. A portion of our proceeds will be going to the Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary. Day starts at 2 p.m. with a corn maze riddled with breweries ready for you to taste their brews! Each brewery will be bringing a beer that is brewed with 51% or more Connecticut ingredients to truly highlight the beautiful agriculture in the great state of Connecticut. Throughout the day we will have bands, food trucks, and artisan vendors. At 6 p.m. their once-friendly corn maze will turn into a spooky, haunted maze for you to brave while you attempt to hold onto your beer!
