"Max Chef to Farm" Pop-Up Dinners At The Farm June-August 2019 Schedule

Max Chef to Farm, an award-winning group of events that celebrate the amazing food grown in our backyard, is heading into their 12th year. Guests are transported directly to the farm to experience seasonal and local food.  Their dinners are multi-course feasts showcasing the delicious bounty of Connecticut-grown produce and other locally-sourced ingredients prepared on site by Chef Steve Michalewicz of Max Catering & Events, Chef Hunter Morton, Culinary Director of the Max Restaurant Group, and the entire Max Chef to Farm team.

Max Chef to Farm dinners are adventurous events that celebrate and support CT-grown products. Their host farm for most events this season is the 160-acre Rosedale Farms, located in Simsbury, CT. A portion of our proceeds is contributed directly to organizations that support small farms, environmental literacy and food security. This year our summer farm dinner series will benefit the Connecticut Farm Land Trust.

The evening begins with a reception, then you'll head out on a farm tour. Your tour concludes in the tented area where dressed tables and candlelight offer a view of the al fresco kitchen where the Max Chef to Farm team prepare a delectable meal with produce plucked from the fields you just toured. Throughout the evening you'll have a chance to share a drink with friends and maybe a recipe from the chef. You'll also be helping our beneficiaries support our community. Each dinner is cooked from scratch and showcases that day’s best produce. Because the ingredients are sourced daily from local farmers, ranchers and fisherman, our menu will be different each evening. They can, however, assure you that you will have an incredible dining experience with the most local, fresh and flavorful foods available!

Dinners are typically $109 per person and include reception, dinner, local wines, beverages and service.
