45+ Restaurants, Bars & Events for St. Patrick’s Day in CT: 2019 Edition

This year, St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Sunday!  That means that Connecticut restaurants and bars are opening their doors even earlier, and, in some cases, festivities are lasting all weekend long.  From buffets to live music to step dancers to Guinness, here is a list of 46+ places where you can get out your green and be Irish for a day in CT.

  1. Tigin Irish Pub, Stamford: Tigin Irish Pub in Stamford opens at 7:30am on Saturday 3/16 and Sunday 3/17. There will be outdoor tents, live music, food specials, drink specials, and more.

  2. EAT IN Connecticut Pub Crawl, Hartford: Eat IN Connecticut will host a “Culinary Corner St. Paddy’s Day Pub Crawl” in West Hartford, CT on Saturday, March 16 from 1-5pm. Participating venues include Artisan (at The Delamar Hotel), Flora, INDIA, The Cook and The Bear, & Vinted

  3. O’Neill’s, South Norwalk: O'Neill's is celebration St. Patrick's Day all month long! On 3/17, the festivities begin at 7am with an Irish buffet breakfast. The day continues with music, Irish dancers, food specials, and more.

  4. Bobby V’s, Stamford: Bobby V's St. Patrick's Day celebration lasts from March 15-17. There will be food specials, drink specials, and plenty of giveaways.

  5. Wadsworth Athenium Museum, Hartford: At The Wadsworth Athenium Museum, members and nonmembers can enjoy an à la carte brunch with live Irish music by The Executive Session. There are two seatings, one at 10:30 am and one at 12:30 pm.

  6. Hudson Social, Stamford: Get out your green for Stamford's Hudson Social's St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

  7. Dere Street Bakery, Newtown: Dere Street Bakery in Newtown is preparing Irish Soda Bread Scones in time for St. Patty's.

  8. Dinosaur BBQ, Stamford: Dino will have a Reuben special for St. Patrick’s Day! The brisket is smoked for hours to make this smokey, salty corned beef sandwich. Layered with our homemade sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Zip Sauce (BBQ Mayo), then grilled between slices of rye bread. They’ll also be serving Corned Beef with Cabbage for dinner! Available for takeout, dine in, or delivery!

  9. Evarito’s, Norwalk: Evaritos in Norwalk hosts a Lucky Charm Brunch on 3/17 from 12-4pm.

  10. Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes, Watertown: Kids can attend a St. Patrick's Day Class at Hardcord Sweet Cupcakes in Watertown on 3/17. Each child will be going home with a rainbow and St Patricks Day themed mini cake and 3 cake pops.

  11. RD86 Space, New London: RD86Space will offer a special menu featuring Irish Breakfast, Corned Beef & Cabbage, Colcannon, Irish Bread, Fish & Chips, and more all weekend long.

  12. Two Steps Downtown Grille, Danbury: Two Steps in Danbury will have Irish food specials from March 13-17. Dine in or carry out.

  13. Coalhouse Pizza, Stamford: Join Coalhouse Pizza on Friday March 15 as they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the live music of The Highland Rovers. A $45 ticket includes an Open Bar, Unlimited Pizza, Unlimited Wings, Live Music, & Dancing!

  14. Rosy Tomorrows, Danbury: Rosy Tomorrows in Danbury will serve St. Patrick's Day food specials from March 12-17.

  15. The Acoustic, Bridgeport: The Acoustic is now serving food! Grab a Reuben from B Fkat Sammiches on St. Patty’s and enjoy some tunes from “Into the Mystic Van Morisson tribute band.

  16. Tiernan’s, Stamford: Visit Tiernan's in Stamford for a St. Patty's party on 3/17.

  17. Stony Creek Brewery, Branford: Stony Creek Brewery's Shenanigans Irish Festival takes place on Saturday 3/16. A $20 general admission ticket gets you a commemorative stein, a beer, and the entertainment the day has to offer.

  18. The Tasty Yolk, Bridgeport: The Tasty Yolk's March special is aptly named the Corny Yolk. It has 2 eggs, Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut, housemade sauce on toasted marble rye bread.

  19. Sign of the Whale, Stamford: St. Patrick's Day brunch at Sign of the Whale features $22 Bottomless Green Mimosas and Green Bud Lights, $4 Green Bud Light Drafts, $6 Guinness Drafts, $8 Car Bombs, and St. Patrick’s Day Themed Menu Specials.

  20. Shamrocked Pub Crawl, Foxwoods: Foxwoods Resort Casino’s Shamrocked Pub Crawl is back and better than ever! The property wide party kicks off at 1PM on 3/17 at the The Celebration Zone on the Great Cedar Concourse and culminates at 5PM with the prize raffle at Centrale Fox Tower.

  21. Firefly Hollow Brewery, Bristol: Skyscraper Sandwich Truck and Firefly Hollow Brewing are teaming up for a St. Patrick's Day event on 3/17 at the brewery.

  22. Stew Leonard’s, Newington: On Friday 3/15, kids can go to a St. Patrick's Day culinary class at Stew Leonard's in Newington. They'll make Irish soda bread bites, festive sugar cookies, lucky leprechaun popcorn mix, and shamrock swirl cupcakes. Ages 6-12.

  23. St. Clements Castle & Marina, Portland: St. Patrick's Day meets karaoke at St. Clements Castle on 3/17 from 4-8pm. Enjoy all-you-can-eat corned beef and cabbage and other Irish specialties as well as an Irish guitarist and DJ.

  24. Clubhouse Grille, Norwalk: Visit Clubhouse Grille in Norwalk from 3-7pm on St. Patrick's Day for a traditional Irish feast and party.

  25. Riverview Bistro, Stratford: Riverview Bistro in Stratford will offer an Irish-inspired menu from 3/15-3/17.

  26. Fairfield Theater Company, Fairfield: The St, Patrick's Day party at Fairfield Theater Company is FREE. It's the best St. Patty's Day Party in Fairfield and it's FREE! There will be music by Green Eyed Lady and the legendary Highland Rovers! They'll have Guinness on draft and free swag too.

  27. Elm City Social, New Haven: Elm City Social Bar is turning into an Irish Pub for a week! Join them for special Irish food, cocktails, and a whiskey menu.

  28. The Hidden Still, Ellington: The Blaney Brothers will be playing live at The Hidden Still in Farmington for St Paddy's Day.

  29. Russian Lady, Hartford: Downtown Hartford will transform into Dublin for the day with drink specials and no cover at participating venues. The Russian Lady is just one of the bars you can head to.

  30. Vaughan’s Irish Public House, Hartford: Doors open at 10am on 3/17 at Vaughan's Irish Public House in Hartford.

  31. McLadden’s, West Hartford: Visit McLadden's in West Hartford for a special St Patrick’s Day brunch from 9-11am. $17.99 gets you an all you can eat Irish breakfast buffet & your choice of a Guinness, Smithwick’s, Harp, or Kilkenny beer. 

  32. AMG Catering & Events, Westport: AMG Catering hosts a St. Patty’s Day Cooking Class on Wednesday March 13 from 7-9pm. Make James whiskey “sliders’ with Guinness cheese sauce and caramelized onions, Guinness mac and cheese, and Jameson apple crisp.

  33. BJ Ryan’s, Norwalk: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at BJ Ryan's in Norwalk. They'll have Corned Beef & Cabbage, Shepherds Pie, Lamb Stew, Irish Soda Bread, Guinness, Jameson, and other cocktails.

  34. Note Kitchen & Bar, Bethel: On March 17, Note Kitchen & Bar in Bethel presents a St. Patrick's Day Music Festival.

  35. Murphy’s Pub, Newton: Murphy's Pub in Newtown will have Corned Beef & Cabbage all weekend long plus great entertainment.

  36. The Hops Company, Derby: In addition to live Irish music, The Hops Company in Derby will have drink and shot specials as well as corned beef and cabbage pizza by Zuppo's.

  37. Playwright’s Irish Pub, Hamden: The doors of Playwright's Irish Pub in Hamden open at 9am. Throughout the day, enjoy Irish brunch, live music, and food & drink specials.

  38. Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House, Mohegan Sun: At Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House, doors open on Sunday, March 17th at 11:30am, and the first 250 people to arrive receive a special gift bag with an engraved Guinness glass and other commemorative items. The regular Lansdowne menu is available all day and includes Irish specials.

  39. Molly Darcy’s, Danbury: On Sunday 3/17, Molly Darcy's doors open at 9am. Join them for live music by the Eamon O'Neill Band, the Carl Pietri School of Irish Dance, Irish Fare, a Kids Menu, Face Painting, Green Beer, Giveaways and More.

  40. Noah Webster House, Hartford: On Friday, March 15 and Saturday March 16, the Noah Webster house in Hartford will host its popular Taste of Ireland Tavern Nights. Bring your friends, family, or 'cushlomochree' for delicious homemade food, live music, Irish step dancing, and historic tavern games.

  41. Brennan’s Shebeen, Bridgeport: Brennan's Shebeen is must-visit Irish Pub and St. Patty's destination in Bridgeport.

  42. The Half Door, Hartford: Hartford's Half Door is partying all day! The St. Patty's festivities start at 8am and go until close.

  43. Grace O’Malley’s Irish Pub, Fairfield: Get into the Irish spirit in Fairfield at Grace O'Malley's Irish Pub & Restaurant. Find it on the Post Road.

  44. Todd English’s Tuscany, Mohegan Sun: Visit Todd English's Tuscany for house-made Wagyu corned beef, salt cured potatoes, Guinness glazed carrots and cabbage béchamel for $34.

  45. Tom Urban, Mohegan Sun: Enjoy the luck of the Irish all month long during St. Madness at Tom's Urban! Stop in anytime during the month of March and enjoy a new limited time menu item with fish & chips. Order a Bucket O’Buds for the table while you cheer on your favorite team.

  46. Michael Jordan’s 23.sportscafe, Mohegan Sun: Michael Jordan's 23.sportcafe will serve up corned beef and cabbage served with potatoes, carrots and grain mustard for $23on 3/17.
