Everyone is Italian on October 12 and 13 when the That’s Amore Italian Street Festival comes to Stamford.  There will be plenty of Italian food as well as concerts, games, and Italian-inspired entertainment. 

TASTE of Fairfield returns on Sunday October 13 at Delamar Southport.  Over 25 vendors will offer tastes of their delicious food.  There will also be local vendors, wineries, and specialty cocktails to check out.  Purchase a general admission ticket or upgrade to VIP for early admission to the event. 

Cousins Maine Lobster and Bad Sons Beer Company are teaming up on Friday October 11.  From 4-8pm, head to Derby for refreshing brews and a pop-up from the Hartford-based seafood eatery. 

Bistro on Main in Manchester presents two nights of a Korean Pop-up Event!  It features Chef Ben Dubow and Guest Chef Young Keun, who will prepare a five course meal.  Choose from one of two seatings on both October 6 and October 7.  A $65 ticket includes gratuity. 

On October 10th, Il Pastaficio is hosting a VIP Dinner to discover the flavors of some exclusive Tuscan Wines as well Prosecco. Wines from the Capezzana and Mionetto will be paired with some delicious creations of our chef. On Friday October 11, Alsatian wines meet the CT Shoreline!  The Wharf Restaurant Chef, Jay Taylor, has created a stunning menu of Alsatian-inspired cuisine prepared with locally sourced food and paired with hand-picked Domaine Paul Blanck Alsatian wines.  Special guest Philippe Blanck will guide you through the wines while Guest Chef Mathias Peter, famous for his Alsatian Tarte Flambee, will satisfy your taste buds during the reception and dessert by featuring varieties of his famous recipe.

The Shops at Farmington Valley are thrilled to bring the community the first ever "Barnside Brews" Beer Festival on October 12 from 1-6pm.  Featuring seasonal and craft beers from Hanging Hills Brewery, all profits from the event will benefit charity partner, Gifts of Love.  There will also food trucks for some tasty eats!  Tickets are $10 online or $15 at the door. 

Athletic Brewery in Stratford is known for their non-alcoholic craft beers.  On October 12, they’ll hold their first ever Athletic Oktoberfest.  The day starts with a 5K and continues with German food and music.  Proceeds will go to the Two for the Trails cleanup program. 

On Saturday October 12, The Hat City On Tap Craft Beer Festival is taking over the Danbury Arena!  Sample over 120 new releases from some top craft breweries from across the county.  General Admission runs from 4-8pm and costs $40, or upgrade to a $65 VIP ticket for an extra hour. 

During the Month of October, Letizia's Pizza will serve up Gertie's Pie of Hope, a $14 pie with 100% of proceeds going to The American Cancer Society.  This year, it is a Mac & Cheese Pizza topped with Bacon and bread crumbs (non bacon option available).

Fall means chili and Windsor’s 24th Annual Chili Challenge is coming to the town green on Saturday October 12!  Try samples of the autumn dish and vote for your favorite.  www.windsorjaycees.com 

Reverie Brewing Company in Newtown invites you to their 1st annual Oktoberfest on October 12 from 11am -5pm.  A $25 ticket includes a commemorative 10oz glass, two drinks, access to additional drink specials all day, a special cask beer release, contests, kids’ activities, and live music. 

Max Chef to Farm Dinners continue of Sunday October 13.  This time, the theme is “Hoptoberfest.”  Enjoy live music by Booyah! and a German-inspires spread.  A $59 ticket is inclusive and comes with 1 tasting glass, 2 oz. pours of some of the best beers in the world, a tasting guide and all the bites you can eat. 

On October 9, eat at Shell & Bones in New Haven for a great cause.  10% of all food sales will go to The Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer.

The Hops Company will be hosting its 4th annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 13, 2019 beginning at 12:00pm.  Featuring Von Trapp Brewery, the day will include live bands, giveaways, and specialty casks.  A highlight of The Hops Company’s Oktoberfest is the Stein Hoisting Contest.  Each winner will receive an overnight stay for two at the Von Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT.  https://www.thehopscompany.com/
