The 500-square-foot space will be the company’s first ever brick and mortar establishment. You can find Field Trip jerky in 50,000 retails outlets nationwide, but this is, and will be their ONLY dedicated store. Located right across the street from Design Within Reach and adjacent to the notorious Westport Pizzeria, Field Trip looks forward to introducing residents of Westport and Fairfield County to junk free jerky and other meat snacks. (They liked Westport so much, they moved their corporate offices right down the street as well.) The first 1,000 customers over the weekend of December 15th/16th will receive a free meat stick if they mention having read about us on Westport Moms, Dan Woog, CTBites, or via WestportNow!You can buy Field Trip’s entire offering at the Jerky & Snack shop. The goal of this snack shop is to take Westport back 30 years to the days of mom & pop artisan stores that once flooded Westport’s Main Street. Back when Little kitchen was a hole in the wall with amazing Chinese Food and Westport Pizzeria was next to a mom & pop jewelers – and their restaurant was flooded with every sports jersey in town after high school sports played out on the weekend. Field Trip wants to contribute by adding character with its fun loving jerky shop to the walking area of Westport / Main Street vicinity.Field Trip was started in 2010 by three friends who saw a need to transform the meat snacks sector after tasting their first craft jerky on the ski slopes in Vermont. Field Trip identified an opportunity for healthier protein-rich snacks that didn’t sacrifice quality and taste.
