How does a turkey drink its wine?  From a gobble-let!  OK, but seriously… Thanksgiving is right around the corner and it’s time to consider your holiday plans!  If you want to enjoy the meal with less prep and clean-up, an assortment of Connecticut caterers and restaurants are offering savory take-out options.  Restaurants are also serving prix-fixe menus, brunches, and other specials for those who want the experience of eating out. 

Here are over 50 Thanksgiving dining options, whether you’re dining out or catering your event from your favorite local restaurant.

Dining Out for Thanksgiving

1. The Cottage, Westport: The Cottage will be open Thanksgiving Day from 12-6pm. They will offe a prix-fixe menu that costs $95 for adults and $45 for children 12 and under.

2. Shell & Bones, New Haven: Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill will be open Thanksgiving Day from 11am-8pm, offering their regular a la carte menu as well as many specials (including Vegan and Gluten-Free options!).

3. Copper Beach Inn, Ivoryton: The Copper Beach Inn will offer a 3 course prix fixe Thanksgiving meal.

4. Homestead Inn, Greenwich: At The Homestead Inn, Thomas Henkelmann is serving up a 3 course Thanksgiving meal for $75 per person. Choose from an appetizer, entrée, and dessert.

5. Prime, Stamford: Prime Stamford has launched its new fall menu. They will be open on Thanksgiving Day with specials and a full menu as well as a savoy Thanksgiving plate.

6. The Wharf @ Madison Beach Hotel, Madison: The Wharf at the Madison Beach Hotel presents Thanksgiving brunch from 11am-5pm.

7. Hilton Mystic, Mystic: Hilton Mystic will serve Thanksgiving Brunch from 11am-4pm. The buffet-style meal is $40 per adult, $18.50 for children 5-11, and free for kids under 5.

8. Cantiki, Norwalk: Cantiki in Norwalk invites you to a Thanksgiving Eve Bash on Wednesday 11/21. $40 gets you a 3 hour open bar and $55 includes unlimited tacos. Tickets are available for purchase online.

9. Todd English’s Tuscany, Mohegan Sun: Todd English's Tuscany, located in Mohegan Sun, will offer a 3 course Thanksgiving meal for $40.

10. Millwright’s, Simsbury: Millwright's in Simsbury will serve up a 3 course Thanksgiving menu. Choose a starter, entrée, and dessert. It is $59 for adults and $29 for children under 12.

11. Michael Jordan’s Steak House, Mohegan Sun: For its Thanksgiving special, Michael Jordan's Steak House will serve Ginger Brined Duck Breast and Crispy Sous Vide Duck Leg for $45. It comes with sweet potato puree, roasted heirloom carrots, sourdough pecan stuffing, drunken kumquat marmalade, and duck demi-glace. End the meal with Pumpkin Crème Brûlée and Butter Pecan Cookies for $14

12. Bar Americain, Mohegan Sun: Bobby Flay's Bar Americain will serve Thanksgiving specials alongside its regular menu on 11/22. Try their Maple-Glazed Roasted Turkey for $45, Gala apple salad, or spiced apple caramel crepes.

13. The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House, Mohegan Sun: The Lansdowne Irish Pub at Mohegan Sun will offer a House brined & slow roasted turkey breast served with gravy, mashed potatoes, sage stuffing, root vegetable blend, and cranberry sauce for $20 starting at 11:30am.

14. Rive Bistro, Westport: Westport's Rive Bistro will have special Thanksgiving dishes- and cocktails! Enjoy a traditional turkey dinner or opt for something else like Bistro Steak Frites or Branzino.

15. L’escale, Greenwich: At L'escale in Greenwich, choose from special Thanksgiving appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The 3 course prix fixe menu costs $75 per person.

16. Rooster Co, Newington: Rooster Company in Newington is open on Thanksgiving and taking reservations. Their "Thanksgiving Feast" is $40 per adult and $15 per child 10 and under.

17. Mill on the River, South Windsor: Mill on the River in South Windsor is open on Thursday November 22 from 11:30pm-5:30pm. Their Thanksgiving menu is $38.95 per person and includes the choice of one seasonal soup or salad, one entree, and one dessert.

18. J House, Greenwich: Celebrate Thanksgiving at J House in Greenwich. Their 3 course prix fixe menu is $75 per person.

19. Harbor Lights, Norwalk: Harbor Lights in Norwalk will serve a 3 course Thanksgiving menu. They've also concocted special cocktails for $11.

20. The Simsbury Inn, Simsbury: The Simsbury Inn will have an extensive Thanksgiving buffet with a soup station, baked brie display, seafood, a carving station, and more.

21. Artisan, Southport & Hartford: Artisan has a special holiday menu. Their version of the turkey includes Rutabaga stuffing with farro, pear, cranberry, and pecan; orange-cranberry chutney and sherry au jus; bourbon whipped yams; mashed Yukon gold potato; and roasted Brussels sprouts. 

22. Fire at the Ridge, Middlefield: Fire at The Ridge is serving up Thanksgiving with all the trimmings! Gather family and friends mountainside for a delicious buffet with all your favorites.

23. Outriggers, Stratford: At Outriggers in Stratford, celebrate Thanksgiving with a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixins or choose from other holiday-inspired specials. Reservations are recommended.

24. The Spa at Norwich Inn, Norwich: The Spa at Norwich Inn invites you to a "A New England Thanksgiving" on 11/22 from 11:30am-3pm. The buffet style meal includes baked goods, a seafood display, carving station, desserts, and more.

25. Flemings Steakhouse, West Hartford: Starting at 11am, Flemings Steakhouse will serve a three-course Thanksgiving feast including classics like Mixed Herb-Roasted Turkey Breast andd Sliced Beef Tenderloin. They'll also have a three-course Thanksgiving Children's Menu for $19.

26. Cafe on the Green, Danbury: Danbury's Café on the Green will offer a 4 course prix fixe Thanksgiving menu for $65 per person.

27. Fresh Salt @ Saybrook Point Inn, Saybrook: Visit Saybrook Point Inn on Thanksgiving Day for a Fresh Salt Thanksgiving buffet with all the trimmings. It is $59.95 for adults and $29.95 for children 5-12.

29. Metro Bis, Simsbury: Metro Bis in Simsbury is taking reservations for their 3 course Thanksgiving prix fixe dinner with seatings from 12-7pm. Adults are $48.95, children 3-10 are $19.95, and those under 3 are free.

30. Spinning Wheel, Redding: The Spinning Wheel in Redding hosts a 3 course Thanksgiving meal with choices like squash soup and pumpkin ravioli for appetizers, turkey and pot roast for entrees, and crisp or pie for dessert. It is $49.95 for adults and $29.95 for kids 5-12. 

31. Octagon Steakhouse, Mystic: At Octagon Steakhouse in Mystic, choose from a starter, hors d'oeuvres, a main, sides, and dessert. It is $45 per person.

32. Seasons, New Haven: The Seasons Restaurant at the Avon Old Farms Hotel will start off the day with Thanksgiving Brunch. You also have the option to join them later for a prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner.

33. Ted’s Montana Grill, South Windsor: Ted's Montana Grill in West Hartford is open on Thanksgiving. In addition to usual menu options, they'll also have a "Thanksgiving Roast Turkey Feast" with a side salad or cup of soup or chili, roast turkey and gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, herb dressing, carrots, “Aunt Fannie’s” squash casserole, cranberry sauce, and Apple Pecan Crisp.

34. Capital Grille, Hartford, Stamford: The Capital Grille's Thanksgiving plate includes Slow-Roasted Turkey with Brioche Stuffing, French Green Beans with Marcona Almonds and Cranberry Pear Chutney, and Sam’s Mashed Potatoes to share. A kids menu is available as well.

35. The Water’s Edge at Giovanni’s, Darien: The Water's Edge at Giovanni's in Darien offers Thanksgiving take-out. Their package for 6 and under costs $145 while their meal for 8-10 is $210.

36. Vivo, Hartford: At VIVO Seasonal Trattoria at the Hartford Marriott Downtown, enjoy a Thanksgiving meal for $33 per person. Guests will savor a complete traditional Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner followed by a decadent dessert. Join them from 12-2pm.

37. Abigail’s Grill & Wine Bar, Simsbury: Abigail's Grille & Wine Bar will serve a special Thanksgiving Dinner menu alongside their usual menu from 11am to 6pm.

38. Flora, West Hartford: Flora's is offering a Vegan Thanksgiving takeout package. Place your order by 11/19 and pick-up between 10am and 1pm on 11/22. It feeds 8-10 people.

39. DoubleTree Hilton, Bristol: The DoubleTree Hilton in Bristol Thursday, invites you to a Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet on November 22 from11:30am-4:30pm. Adults are $39.95, children under 12 are $18, and children under 5 are free,

40. Infinity Bistro, Norfolk: Enjoy Chef Lisa's amazing Thanksgiving Buffet at our Infinity Bistro in Norfolk. Dishes include garlic herb roasted turkey, stuffed tilapia, glazed sweet potato mash, and more.

41. Waters Edge, Westbrook: The Water's Edge in Westbrook hosts a Thanksgiving Day buffet from 11am-7pm. They'll have specialty cheeses, fruits, a crudité station, pastries, turkey, omelets, and more.

43. Angelico’s Lake House, East Hampton: Angelico's Lake House is now taking reservations for their Thanksgiving buffet. They'll have seatings on the hour from 11am-4pm.

44. Grants, West Hartford: Grants is serving up a 3 course prix fixe Thanksgiving menu for $40 per person. Their regular menu will still be available as well.

45. m&m bistro, Hartford: At m&m bistro in Hartford, the Chef has crafted a three-course prix fixe menu for $33 per person. Guests can enjoy their choice of traditional Turkey, Prime Rib or Seared Salmon as a main dish.

Restaurants Offering Catering for Thanksgiving

1. Judy’s Bar and Kitchen, Stamford: Bring Thanksgiving into your own home with take-out from Judy's Bar and Kitchen in Stamford. Their Southern Thanksgiving Feast has dishes like Apple Wood Smoked Turkey Breast and Oreo Peanut Butter Cream Pie.

2. elm, New Canaan: elm in New Canaan has all of your Thanksgiving needs covered! If you want a mess-free meal at home, order from their Thanksgiving take-out menu. If you'd rather dine at the restaurant, they have both a Thanksgiving menu and Thanksgiving Kids Menu.

3. The Cook and the Bear, Hartford: The Cook and the Bear offers a carryout Thanksgiving feast for 5 (complete with leftovers!) for $100.

4. Ambler Farm, Wilton: Ambler Farm will reopen its farm stand for 2 days leading up to Thanksgiving: Monday 11/19 from 3-6pm and Tuesday 11/20 from 9am-Noon. On Thanksgiving day, watch their "pumpkin warrior" launch pumpkins down the feel before heading home for your meal.

5. Tim’s Kitchen @ Wakeman Town Farm, Westport: Tim's Kitchen at Wakeman Town Farm is getting you ready for Thanksgiving with holiday themed classes.

6. The Stack, New Haven: Preorder your Thanksgiving meal from The Stack, featuring Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ. The menu includes a la carte meats, sides, salads, appetizers and desserts. “The Bear Feast,” includes a smoked turkey, white mashed potatoes, green beans, creamed corn, candied carrots, cornbread with honey butter, gravy, and the option to add two desserts

8. Dinosaur BBQ, Stamford: This Thanksgiving, stuff your face instead of your turkey and order Dinosaur Bar-B-Que Turkey Packages! They'll smoke and cook all of the fixings in advance – just heat it up once you’re ready. Order by 11/19.
