On Monday October , Stew Leonards Newington will have a “P” is for Pumpkin Culinary Class for Kids. Kids ages 6-12 will prepare homemade pumpkin oatmeal cookies, pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and pumpkin cinnamon sugar donuts. They’ll even paint a pumpkin to bring home. $30 per child.

All proceeds will go directly to Foodshare, a regional food bank that serves both Hartford and Tolland counties.

As of November 30th, Holbrook Farm will be changing ownership and closing its doors until April. They will stop ordering new inventory on most items, but maintain certain essentials like milk and bread until the end of October. They will continue to harvest what they have. They are selling some of the farm’s supplies including furniture and some of their adorable farm animals.
