Join The Spread in Sono for a Labor Day Luau,  featuring a pig roast and Captain Morgan cocktails September 3rd 5PM.

On Friday September 1, sample over a dozen local and rare beers in Downtown New Haven's Historic 9th Square!  During the event, participating pubs, bars, and restaurants will offer special food pairings and exclusive discounts.  Tickets are $18 in advance, or $20 at the door.  21+ only. 

The place to be every Friday through October is the new Lachat Town Farm in Weston. Join them from 4pm -8pm and shop a great selection of vendors, food trucks, + live music. Vendors include: Dough Girls Wood Fired Pizza,  Nutty Bunny, Sugar and Olives, Szabo's Seafood, The Granola Bar, The Green Grunion & Valencia Luncheria.

Say cheese… and beer!  On Monday August 28, Caseus Fromagerie Bistro in New Haven will hold a Beer and Cheese Pairing Class focusing on Belgian Beers.  Tickets are $45 per person and can be purchased online. 

On Tuesday August 29, The Greenwich Cheese Company will show you what cheeses go best with summer wines, like crisp whites and refreshing roses.  The class runs from 7-9pm and costs $50 per person. 

Waypointe is becoming a hotspot in Norwalk!  On Thursday August 31, the area’s vendors, restaurants, and bars will come together for a “Wine Down at the Block” featuring live music, light bites, signature cocktails, and special in-store promotions.  Tickets are $25 and the event lasts from 6-10pm.  

Monday August 28 is “Kid’s Day” at the Stratford Farmers Market, located at Paradise Green.  The special installation of the market will have cooking demonstrations, ukulele lessons, story-time, touch-a-truck, a moonboune, yoga, activites, fresh produce, and more!  Visit from 2-6pm.

El Segundo is celebrating their 1 Year Anniversary starting August 31st w/ Pana! Live Thursday from 5-9 in the iron works courtyard. Matt Fernandez Live Friday from 5-8 in the iron works courtyard. The New England Food Truck Festival rolling into Mohegan Sun on Saturday September 2 and Sunday September 3.  Try food from over 30 New England food trucks including Shuckin’ Truck, Trolley Dog, Makin’ Jamaican, Spuds your way, The Whoopie Wagon, Zinnekens, and more.  There will also be live music, face painting for children, a fireworks show on Saturday starting at 9:30pm, and field games.  Www.NEFoodTruckFestMoheganSun.com.

The 10th annual Blues, Views & BBQ Festival presented by the Westport Downtown Merchants Association will be held in Westport CT on September 2 & 3rd at the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts and the grounds of the Westport Library. CTbites will once again play host to the areas top chefs as they grill up some of their favorite dishes and offer up samples for attendees of the festival. 

Massaro Community Farm in Woodbridge will host its Annual Dinner on the Farm on Sunday, September 3 from 4:30-9:00pm. Award winning Chef Denise Appel will prepare a meal from all-local ingredients.  The evening also includes a farm tour, open bar, hors d'ouevres interactive exhibits, and a silent auction. Tickets are on sale for the Stamford Museum and Nature Center’s Fall Farm to Table Supper.  On September 24, Matt Storch, Chef and Owner of Match Restaurant in South Norwalk, will create a beautiful meal inside the Bendel mansion.  There will also be a preview of the museum’s upcoming exhibition, Illustrations of Imaginative Literature: The Korshak Collection.

EMBODY is officially launching Specialty Coffee.  It is a collaboration with Kyle Bellinger, a local coffee roaster from Osito.  He was also an original at Espresso NEAT and recently placed 2nd in the National Roaster Championship.  The coffee is directly sourced from Kyle's farm in Columbia, roasted in Brooklyn, and served at EMBODY to exact specifications.  (The full menu is available at all locations except Westport, which sells only Hot Coffee and Cold Brew with option to Bulletproof it).
