Harrington’s Organic Pro Series presents Soil Health Workshops so that farmers can learn to evaluate health and quality of soil, produce high quality compost, improve soil fertility, manage produce quality, and implement organic land care practices.
Ambler Farm in Wilton hosts an Apprentice Open Houses on Saturday March 11. Kids in grades 5-11 can stop by the farm starting at 3pm. That same day from 1-2pm, Ambler Farm will also have a Maple Syrup Open House. Kids and families will have an opportunity to tap a tree, take the maple syrup taste test, learn about methods of making syrup and, taste Ambler Farm’s very own maple syrup over vanilla ice cream.
Stony Creek Brewery celebrates its two year anniversary on Saturday March 11. They will release their Sour Silhouette, a sour stout aged on red wine oak, at noon. There will also be 2 cask conditioned beers, live music!, and food trucks.
