Donny Raus, of RAUS Coffee, will be the guest bartender this coming Friday night, October 28, at Tavern on Main in Westport, from 6:30 till 9+. Donny will be crafting coffee cocktails, using his signature Cold Roman blend. Tavern will also be featuring several dishes on the evening's menu using RAUS coffee - a coffee-rubbed steak with a mix of espresso beans and selected spices, as well as a housemade Tiramisu using RAUS' s Cold Roman and Espresso.

From October 21-28, Connecticut restaurants and chefs are teaming up to help Puerto Rico.  Participating restaurants like Avert Brasserie, Butchers & Bakers, Max Oyster Bar, The Cottage, and more will create and serve small plates inspired by Puerto Rico, with 100% of the proceeds generated by these dishes being donated to Unidos Por Puerto Rico. 

South Avenue Butchers has teamed up with Baldanza Cafe to co-host a delicious five course dinner highlighting organic, grass-fed meats sourced from local farms. The exclusive dinner includes wines paired by Keely Abbott from The Wine Trust.  Join them at Baldanza Cafe on Wednesday, October, 25th at 7:15pm. 

Walrus + Carpenter hosts a Country Western Music + Moonshine Revue on Thursday October 26 from 7:30-11:30pm.  They’ll whip up chicken-fried steaks and moonshine as guests enjoy the live music. 

On Thursday October 26, Washington Prime in South Norwalk continues its five course wine pairing dinners with Jadot / Resonance Vineyards.  It costs $85 per person. 

The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County invites you to the 12th Annual Chefs' Dinner to Fight Hunger on Thursday, October 26.  Enjoy a cocktail hour followed by wine and entrée pairings from prominent Fairfield County chefs.  Represented restaurants include Rory's Restaurant, Sweet Lisa's Exquisite Cakes, Olio, Harlan Social, Sign of the Whale, and more.  Admission is $250 per person, $200 of which is tax deductible.  The funds enable The Food Bank to distribute food through about 75 non-profit agencies and programs that feed those in need residing solely in lower Fairfield County. 

Author Erik Ofgang will visit PourMe in downtown Danbury on Thursday October 26 to promote hisbook, "Buzzed: Beers, Booze and Coffee Brews: Where to Enjoy the Best Craft Beverages in New England.”  PourMe will host Back East Brewery with Ice Cream Man on tap as Erik gives insights on his book.  A $40 fee covers a copy of the book, lite fare at PourMe, tax and tip. There will be a cash bar available.

Greenwich Restaurant Week takes place from October 27-November 5 with participants like Back 40 Kitchen, Char, Elm Street Oyster House, Fortina, J House Greenwich, Le Fat Poodle, L'escale restaurant, Mill Street Bar & Table, The Spread Greenwich, and more.  They will kick of the week of dining with an Opening Night Party on Thursday October 26 at J House.  A portion of the evening's proceeds will go to Transportation Association of Greenwich (TAG), a private not-for-profit organization specializing in transportation services for disabled individuals and disadvantaged of all ages. 

An extra spooky edition of the Hummock Island Oyster Tour will take place on Friday October 27 from 5-7pm. Wear your best costume... there will be a contest!

The CT Firefighters Charitable Foundations Annual Wine and Beer Tasting Event will take place at the Trumbull Marriot Hotel on October 27 from 6:30-9:30pm.  Tickets are $35 each, with proceeds going toward the Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital and the foundation’s peer support program for Connecticut Burn Survivors. 

The Black Rock Farmers Market's annual Harvest Hootenanny takes place on October 28 with food, booze, a corn hole tournament, artisans, vendors and more!

The 3rd annual Simsbury Spooktacular Chili Challenge will take place on Saturday, October 28.  This year's event includes local restaurants battling it out for the title as well as a touch-a-truck area for kids, a classic car exhibit, a new youth cooking competition, live music, and more.  Tickets are on sale now.

On Saturday, October 28, join Chef Pietro Scotti of Da Pietro's Restaurant in Saugatuck for a fun class teaching the techniques of making mozzarella and ricotta, followed by a delicious lunch. Witness the transformation of curd to cheese, stretch and shape mozzarella, learn a traditional recipe for whey ricotta cheese, and of course… taste!  The class is BYOB and limited to 16 students. 

Join Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes in Oakville for a kid friendly spooky Halloween Kids Class on Saturday October 28 from 2-4pm. Youngsters can make Ghost Truffles and Cupcakes to take home and learn how to work with fondant, chocolate and buttercreams.

On Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 9am, families are invited to attend a Halloween Breakfast with Stew’s most loved characters in Newington. Tickets are $9.99/each for children aged 11 & under and $12.99/each for all those over the age of 12. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes.

On October 28 at 9pm, Ergo Chef and Chef Plum present "Food Fight" Octember to Dismember. The Halloween themed event will see a showdown between award winning Chef John Brennan and Food Network Veteran Chef Carol Koty from Brookdale Wilton.

On Saturday, October 28, 2017, AIDS Project New Haven brings the popular Blues, Barbeque, Bourbon & Beer to the Owenego Inn in Branford! The event will feature food catered by La Cuisine, live music performed by The Genetics, local craft beer tastings, bourbon tastings, a silent auction, costume contest, Grab Bag, and more.  Tickets are $50 each.

  • Washington Prime in SoNo presents a Prima Con Halloween party on Friday October 27 starting at 10pm. Don your best superhero, villain, or video game costume for the evening!
  • The Spread in Norwalk invites you to "Spread of Thrones," a Game of Thrones inspired Halloween bash. Join them on October 28 starting at 6:30pm.
  • Guilford Mooring in Guilford, CT is teaming up with Stony Creek Brewery to throw a Tim Burton themed Halloween Bash on Friday, October 27 beginning at 9pm.
  • Cask Republic New Haven and Stamford will both host Halloween Parties on Saturday October 28 at 10pm.
