The Bridgeport Bluefish are holding their second annual “Fish Fest” at Harbor Yard on Saturday August 13.  Join them for music, beer, and food.

The 10th Annual Shoreline Wine Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14.  Celebrate Connecticut wineries and local food at Bishop’s Orchards.  Tickets start at $11. 

The inaugural Greater Orange Restaurant Week will take place August 8-14.  Over 24 restaurants, including Bella Napoli, Coromandel Cuisine of India, Ola Restaurant, and Plan B, will be participating.  Diners will have the chance to win up to $10,000 in prizes and enjoy special cocktails, wines, and beer.  

The Artisanal Burger Company in Machester, CT hosts a New England Brewing Company beer dinner on Monday August 8 at 6:30pm.  The evening starts with a reception.  It progresses with a three course dinner and dessert.  It costs $60 per person.  

The Summer 2016 Happy Hour series presented by CTbites continues on Tuesday August 9 from 5:30-7:30pm on Vespa’s gorgeous outdoor patio.  For $39 per person, enjoy delicious appetizers from Chef David White while sipping on specialty summer cocktails.  The Price includes a specialty cocktail and a second drink of your choice.  Menu and tickets here. 

Fleishers Craft Butchery, in Westport, has announced a Summer Grilling Series.  The next installation will take place on Tuesday August 9 from 7-9pm.  Learn about the cuts of the meat that work best on the grill, how to season your meat, and how to flip burgers like the pros.  Then, dig into some delicious meats along with sides, salads, and a beer.  It costs $100 per person.

Max’s Farm Festivals continue at Rosedale Farms and Vineyards on Sunday August 14.  They invite you to a traditional New England Lobster Bake with food by Chef Steve Michalewicz of Max Catering and Events.  The cost for adults is $59 and the cost for kids (12 and under) is $19.  The menu and additional details can be here.

Hop Haus Craft Beer and Restaurant in Plantsville continues its Meet the Brewery series on August 11 with Hanging Hills Brewery.  Try the beer and enjoy giveaways from 6-9pm.

Mohegan Sun invites you to compete in the Olympub Games on Saturday August 13 at 3pm.  Get together a team of 6 and get ready to try your best at cornhole, flip cup, pong, jenga, and quarters.  It all takes place on the Garage Rooftop.  Participants can win up to a $100 Mohegan Sun gift card per person.  It costs $60 per team, which includes a drink and a t-shirt.  

The Connecticut Food Bank invites you to Hops for Hunger on Sunday August 14 from 1-4pm.  The event takes place at Two Roads Brewery and includes beer and wine, food, lawn games, brewery tours, prizes, music, and more.  It costs $55 per person or $100 per couple.  Proceeds go to help combat hunger in the community.  Questions about the event? Washington Prime recently opened its Georgetown/Redding location.  They now serve brunch at the new location!  Like the SoNo location, brunch includes a prime rib carving station, raw bar, omelette station, salads, fruit, granola, smoked salmon station, baked goods, and more.  It is $34.95 for adults (with a bloody mary, mimosa, or Moscow mule included!) and $19.95 for kids.  Join them on Sundays at 11am, 12:30pm, or 2pm.  Call them at (203) 587-1488.

The Fez in Stamford has announced an artist in residency program.  On Monday August 8, they will hold an opening reception for artist Inna Linov.  Enjoy wine, snacks, and her fun and unique art from 6-7pm.  The exhibit itself will be up through October 8.

Enjoy food and margaritas while exploring your creative side.  On Tuesday August 9, go to Eddie’s Sombrero in Southington, CT where you will make a clay bottle stopper over food and cocktails.  IT goes from 6:30-8:30pm and costs $34 per person.  The ticket price includes all supplies, materials, and your first margarita.
