A new farmer's market opens in the heart of Sono.  The market, known as "Common Ground," runs from 11am-3pm on Saturdays through the end of October.  There will also be a table of free books for children and musicians on hand to perform.  Visit the market at 50 Washington Street.

Celebrate Summer in Style with Happy Hour at Patagonia!  From 5-7pm on Tuesday July 26, the Westport store will offer food, giveaways, and beer from Black Hog Brewing Company.

Fleishers Craft Butchery, in Westport, has announced a Summer Grilling Series.  The first installation will take place on Tuesday July 26 from 7-9pm.  Learn about the cuts of the meat that work best on the grill, how to season your meat, and how to flip burgers like the pros.  Then, dig into some delicious meats along with sides, salads, and a beer.  It costs $100 per person. 

Community Table & Kent Falls Brewing Co. are teaming up for a special evening of food and beer on July 26. Executive Chef Marcell Davidsen has collaborated with Barry and Derek at Kent Falls Brewing Co. on a summer-inspired menu fit for Connecticut locavore beer lovers.  The menu includes 7 courses and 6 beers. 

DORO Restaurant Group has partnered with Sub Edge Farm to create a new DORO Farm Dinner Series.  On Wednesday July 27, West Hartford’s Treva Restaurant & Bar will host a Hadley + Occum Farm Dinner.  The evening begins with a tour of the farm followed by a seasonal meal created from scratch.  Tickets are $99.

On Thursday July 28, Mill Street Bar & Table will host special Speaker Luncheon Event.  The luncheon, entitled "Eating & Drinking The Rainbow: The Healing Power of COLOR in Plants” will feature guest speaker Kristina Hess, the Director of Nutrition, Green & Tonic.  Guests can enjoy a 3-course meal by Chef Geoff Lazlo, a presentation and Q&A with Hess, and samples of Green & Tonic juices.  It costs $52 per person, plus tax and gratuity.  Space is limited.  Please email or call 203-813-3323 to reserve.

The Hop Haus in Plantsville wants to give you a chance to “Meet the Brewery.”  Thursday July 28 is all about Baxter Brewing Company, a craft brewery out of Maine.  Stop by to try the beers, ask questions, and receive fun swag. 

The Silo at Hunt Hill Farm continues its cooking classes with “La Villa Cucina- Grilling Italian Style” on Saturday July 30 from 11AM-2:30pm.  Chef Daniel Rosati will use the new “American Muscle Grill” to prepare classic Italian Summer inspired dishes.  Learn everything from Negroni Cocktails to Tuscan Summer Bread Salad with Grilled Shrimp to Almond and Chocolate Cake with Macerated Berries.

Clambakes embody summer!  On Saturday July 30, join Sunset Meadow Vineyards for a traditional New England Clambake from 6:30-8:30pm.  The menu includes whole Maine lobster, clams, mussels, new potatoes, corn-on-the cob, watermelon, dessert, and a glass of wine.  Tickets are $95.  You can purchase at the vineyard or here.

Things are getting funky at Two Roads on Saturday July 30.  Their first ever Summer Funk Fest will take place from 4-8pm.  A $25 ticket includes access to the live music, three 8oz pours of their special, draft only releases (1 glass of each style per person), and a custom Two Roads Summer Funk tasting glass.  Food trucks like Green Grunion, Chief Brodys Banh Mi, and Popcentric will also be there. 

Cushman Farms, located in North Franklin, will host a Corn Roast in the Hayfield & Farm Tour on July 30 from 1-3pm. 

The Harugari German American Club in West Haven invites you to a German Bierfest on Sunday July 31.  Enjoy German Bier, German Food, folk dancing, and German music by The Austrian Boys from 1-6pm.  Admission is free for those 18 and under.  Adults are $5. 

On Sunday July 31 from 6-9pm, The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester will put on “A Sign of The Times.”  Before the production, Shore Discount Liquor will host a wine tasting with hors d'oeuvres and a pre-show talk with a member of the creative team.  It costs $12 per person with a ticket to the show.
