“One Night Only,” an event to benefit Community Plates, will take place at The Spread on Monday April 4.  Chef Carlos Baez will make his signature Chicken Mole that he presented on the Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay.  In addition, Ken Tuccio will do an on location recording of his Welcome to Connecticut Podcast.  Reserve your table here.  

New Haven Restaurant Week begins Sunday April 3!  Hotspots like 116 Crown, Adrianna’s, Barcelona, Cask Republic, and Miya’s Sushi are all participating. 

Branford Restaurant Week starts on Monday March 28 and runs through April 2.  A number of the city’s restaurants will offer special menus or prix fixe options for the occasion. 

On Thursday March 31, Craft 260 in Fairfield will host a Founders Tap Takeover.  It will include the coveted 2016 KBS (starting at 6pm), 2015 Blushing Monk, 2014 Backwoods Bastard, Mango Magnifico, All Day IPA, Mosaic Promise, Pale Ale Nitro, Hoppy Brown + more.

Beers and Beethoven!  Though those aren’t two things you’d expect to hear together, it’s happening!  The New Haven Symphony Orchestra invites you to join them for a beer tasting in the lobby before catching their performance on Thursday March 31. 

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center will reopen for the 2016 season on Friday, April 1.  They’ll celebrate with an eastern woodland clambake prepared in the Native tradition.  Pequot Museum Chef Sherry Pocknett (Mashpee Wampanoag) and Traditional Bakemaster Vernon Pocknett will use hot stones and rockweed.  They’ll prepare lobster, fish, steamers, linguica, hot dog, corn on the cob, white potato, sweet potato, onion, brown bread, quahog chowder, and watermelon.

It’s no big thing… just a Spring Fling Wine Event on Friday April 1.  Hartford 21, located at 221 Trumbull Street, will be the backdrop for this event, hosted by The Scribe's Institute Inc.  Hartford restaurants will serve hors d'oeuvres and cheese.  There will also be a silent auction and a DJ for dancing and entertainment.  All proceeds will go to support the Young Scribe's Literacy Program and The Scribe's Institute Building Initiatives.  Tickets start at $55.  

The Focus on French Cinema Film Festival, now in its 12th year, comes to Greenwich from April 1-3.  It will screen over 20 films from France and across the French-speaking world.  The Delamar is offering packages starting at $239 per night for people who wish to attend.  Call 203.662.9800 to book your stay.

Outer Light Brewing Company in Groton, CT is turning 1!  On Saturday April 2, they’ll celebrate with a huge birthday bash at the brewery, complete with On Saturday April 2nd, food, games and lots of beer.  In addition, they’ll lead up to the festivities with beer releases all week.  

Stratford Restaurant Week returns Sunday April 3.  Over 20 restaurants, such as Outriggers, Sitting Duck Tavern, and Riverview Bistro are presenting prix fixe menus or specials. 

Cave à Vin is a wine bar in New Haven.  They’ll hold their first event at the restaurant on Sunday April 3: a blind wine tasting of 6 wines, served with light appetizers.  Join them from 3-5pm. 

Spring is here!  MiKro Craft Beer Bar and Michael’s Greenhouse are coming together to present their 2nd Annual Greenhouse Fest on Sunday April 3.  From 1-4pm, try craft beer while also enjoying live bluegrass music, cupcakes from NoRa Cupcake Company, Caseus Cheese Truck, and Chief Brody's Banh Mi Truck.  All proceeds from this great event will go to the Smilow Cancer Hospital Closer to Free Ride.  Tickets are $60,
