Celebrate National IPA Day: A Guide To Great IPA's On Tap

Holy Mother of God, do I love IPAs." Thus did I begin acolumn from my early days as a beer writer here at the Bites of CT, and the bloom has yet to fall off that particular rose. Two of the beers in that review from 2011 aren't around anymore, one remains a permanent favorite, and today is a particularly good day for anyone who shares my adoration of the sainted hop.Happy National IPA Day, everyone.
Here's a quick rundown of a few spots who have reached out and let us know what's on tap. Anoint thy lips.

Feeling lucky? Local Kitchen & Bar in Fairfield tapped Sea hag, Gandhi-Bot and the door-busting, bar-demolishing Godzilla of local IPAs, Fuzzy Baby Ducks, last night. I wouldn't count on finding any ducks, but the other two (along with 668 Belgian ale) may still be there for the asking. [This is your occasional reminder that Sea Hag is quietly one of the best IPAs in New England.]
The Sitting Duck Tavern in Stratford recently tapped Maine Beer Co. Mo, Peeper, Lunch and Zoe, so eastern Fairfield County hopheads should still be able to get their fix with at least one or two of Freeport's finest.
