The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook, a beautiful new cookbook co-authored by CTbites' contributor Christy Colasurdo, launches Monday June 1. The book, a celebration of local food and farms, takes readers on a tasting tour of Connecticut. The authors will be signing books at Stew's in Norwalk on Saturday, June 6 from 11-1.  

Learn how to make “Late spring/summer appetizers” with AMG Catering on Tuesday June 2.  The menu includes Watermelon-Vodka Gazpacho “shooters”, Saucy Chicken Hoison “roll ups”, Scallop “Crudo”, and Green Goddess Crab Tapas.  It costs $90 per person and goes from 7-9pm.

Ninety9Bottles Craft Beer Festival returns for a 2nd year on Saturday June 6 at Oyster Shell Park in Norwalk.  It features New England based brews, local fare, and live music.

Starting opening day on June 7th, J House Greenwich will be hosting a specialty craft cocktail bar at Greenwich Polo Club. The J House mixologists will be pour polo-inspired cocktails and servie beer and wine from sponsors Stella Artois and Whispering Angel Rose.  Whether fans choose to picnic on the sidelines or go the VIP route by purchasing grandstand tickets or private cabanas, there are plenty of food options to delight even the most discerning palettes. Each Sunday afternoon match, food trucks offering fresh local lobster rolls, farm to table wood fired brick oven pizza and freshly prepared gelato will be on site. You’ll want to arrive with an empty stomach to sample delicacies from Caffe Bon, Lobstercraft, Skinny Pines, Bounty, Follow That Cupcake, La Fenice Gelato and more.  In addition to hosting the specialty craft cocktail bar, J House will be the official after party destination for polo fans and players to unwind after the match. Tickets can be purchased online and range from $40 per car for lawn seating, $60 per car for grandstand seating, box seats for $300 (seats 4) and $600 for VIP private cabanas (seats 8).
