AMG Catering has announced the dates of their 2015 Kids Summer Cooking Camps! 

Join Cask Republic Stamford on Monday, January 19th for a great night of Food & Beer with Allagash Brewing Company.  The five course dinner includes dishes like coffee rubbed pork empanadas and house duck pastrami paired with craft brews such as Allagash Bourbon Black.  $75 per person. 

Journey through Italy with Bar Sugo's “Serie Vino” Italian Wine Class & Food Pairing Series. Each one hour class in the series (there are five in total) will focus on a particular Italian region, history behind the wines, and the food that best accompanies them prepared by Chef Pat Pascarella.  The series will take place each Tuesday at 7:00pm and this week- January 20- is Campania. 

Thursday January 22 is the next installation of Walrus + Carpenter’s BrewGrass with Whole Hog BBQ.  There will be plenty of delicious food and live music from BrewGrass. 

Curious about organic farming?  Attend a day-long “Getting Started in Organic Farming Conference” on Saturday January 24 at Connecticut College, which is located at 270 Mohegan Ave in New London, CT. The class takes place in room 1941 in the Crozier-Williams College Center from 8am-5pm. 

The 12th annual Mohegan Sun WineFest takes place January 23rd, 24th & 25.  The Grand Tasting lasts from 12-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.  Over 1,000 brands will have samples of wines, beers, and spirits.  Eat signature dishes from popular restaurants as you peruse. There are even celebrity chef demonstrations, contests, and giveaways. 

The CT Beer Trail has announced the first ever “Movies & Beers” night.  The event features two movies at Shebeen Brewing Co. along with tours and open taps for guests!  Food trucks will provide delicious eats.  It lasts from 6-10:30pm.  http://ctbeertrail.net/events/movies-beers-double-feature-open-tap 

The 2015 Chocolate Expo takes place at Norwalk’s Maritime Aquarium on Sunday January 25.  The expo has become the largest chocolate-themed event in the northeast with tastings of all things chocolate from local and regional vendors. It goes from 10am-7pm.  http://thechocolateexpo.com/
