CTbites Team

Join us for the Northeast’s premier culinary festival October 4-6! The Greenwich 2012 Food + Wine Festival is a three-day event that benefits the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and will include live entertainment from The Gregg Allman Band, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, The Felice Brothers, the Ian Murray Band and Will Hoge, among others.

Our celebrity chefs and acclaimed culinary guests will include James Beard award-winning chefs, Ted Allen, host of Food Network’s “Chopped,” and local luminaries like Bill Taibe of LeFarm and The Whelk, Rui Correia of Douro and Piri Q, Debra Ponzek of Aux Délices and Frederic Kieffer of l’escale.

Friday Night’s Grand Tasting Gala is an evening of decadent tastings by the event’s featured chefs from New York and Connecticut. Guests will also enjoy some of the world’s finest wines, spirits from a full bar, and a live performance from Big Head Todd and the Monsters.

Saturday’s Culinary Village, located in the center of the Food + Wine Festival, will offer grand tastings and exciting demonstrations from more than 60 food, wine and spirit vendors. Two culinary demonstration tents will house cooking presentations by Graham Elliot of Fox’s “MasterChef,” Duff Goldman of Food Network’s “Ace of Cakes,” and more! Guests will also enjoy sommelier presentations, a beer garden, celebrity chef book signings and a Southern Bash with barbeque, bourbon and the first annual Burger Battle, while listening to live musical performances by The Gregg Allman Band, The Felice Brothers and Will Hoge.

VIP ticketholders will have access to the Festival VIP Tent, which is equipped with a private lounge and restrooms, a full bar, elite wines, specialty treats and the opportunity to mingle with celebrity guests. VIP guests will also have access to premier parking and an exclusive area from which to view the live musical performances.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds of the Greenwich 2012 Food + Wine Festival benefit The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a community that celebrates the fun, friendship and spirit of childhood where every kid can “raise a little hell.” Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, Camp is a community dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to children and their families coping with cancer, sickle cell anemia and other serious illnesses. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is located in Ashford, Connecticut and will serve more than 20,000 children and family members this year completely free of charge.

Three thousand guests are expected to attend the festival so reserve your ticket now. All ticket-holders will receive an official wine glass and tote bag. The Greenwich 2012 Food + Wine Festival is hosted by Serendipity magazine.
