If you follow Fortina Pizza or chef/owner Christian Petroni on Instagram, chances are you thought about hitting that “skip a shipment” in your Blue Apron settings for something a little more local and a lot more restaurant quality.

Petroni’s wood-fired restaurants known for their Neapolitan pizza, pasta dishes, and tasty Bronx Italian grub just got in the meal kit game in the middle of February when they launched Fortina At Home.

If you’re familiar with Fortina’s fare, you’ll undoubtedly recognize some of the meal kit options. First, you have a choice of one of their fresh salads: bibb lettuce (Honeycrisp apple, radish, white balsamic dressing), arugula (candied pistachios, parm, lemon vinaigrette), or Caesar. Then it’s onto carbs. Baked ziti, pappardelle Bolognese, or paccheri with vodka sauce and veal meatballs, a Fortina favorite.

Each kit comes perfectly portioned out, and they’re foolproof, so if your kitchen skills aren’t up to snuff, don’t freak out! Can you salt and boil water? Can you NOT overcook pasta? From there it’s mostly mixing and letting it brown and bubble in the oven, then shaving a copious amount of parmesan on top. And there’s only a little slicing involved if you order the bibb salad. Still worried? Simple step-by-step instructions are included so you won’t embarrass yourself. Trust me, you got this!

The kits will run you $35 (serves two) or $56 (enough for four), and hopefully you have a decent bottle of vino at home to impress your date or enough bottles so the family can all partake.

If you’re interested in a Fortina At Home meal kit, the easiest way is to dial up your local Fortina location, with at least a full day’s notice, then swing by and it’ll be ready for pickup. Currently, they are not offering shipping, but eventually they will!

And if you’re lucky, they’ll toss in cannoli shells for a DIY dessert complete with cream and Nutella, if you’re one of the first 100 orders.
