On Tuesday November 22, learn how to put a Spanish twist on traditional Thanksgiving dishes at Barcelona West Hartford.  The class runs from 7-9pm and costs $29, plus tax and gratuity.

Try Happy Hour at Harlan Social!  Monday-Thursday from 4:30-6:30pm, enjoy $5 craft beers and $6 wines by the glass.  This offer is at the bar side only.

The Blind Rhino is gearing up for Thanksgiving with an epic round of trivia: TriviaMania!  On Tuesday November 22, Ken Tuccio hosts while Lagunitas Brewing is on hand all night long with specialty brews, raffles and giveaways.  It starts at 8pm. 

Walrus + Carpenter presents The Last Waltz on Wednesday November 23.  They’re celebrating Thanksgiving Eve with a night of rock! It starts at 730 and they fill up quickly, so make your dinner reservation early to ensure your front-row seat to the event.  

Pies are the ultimate Thanksgiving dessert.  On Tuesday November 22 and Wednesday November 23, Sur La Table in Canton, CT will teach you how to make crusts and fillings for Perfect Pumpkin Pie and Southern Pecan Pie.  Plus, go home with 2 stoneware pie dishes!  There is a class at 11am on the 22nd and 10am and another at 2pm on the 23rd. 

Connecticut Restaurants are celebrating Thanksgiving!  Here is a guide to restaurants that are open and serving up delicious Thanksgiving specials.   

Black Friday is here and Sunset Meadow Vineyards in Goshen is offering ways to save!  On Friday November 25 from 11am-6pm, take advantage of in-store specials and wine discounts.  They’ll also be serving their mulled wine.

The morning after Thanksgiving, treat the family to the Santa Special train excursion aboard the Essex Steam Train!  Santa and Mrs. Clause will entertain youngsters for the hour long journey.  Upgrade with the “Reindeer Breakfast,” featuring scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, bagels, muffins, cut fruit, cereal, and beverages. Tickets are $20 for a coach seat, $40 for a first-class seat and $55 for the Reindeer Breakfast in First Class.

This weekend, November 26-27, Bishops Orchards will be featuring its dessert wines.  Stop in for samples of “Apple Raspberry Blush” and “Amazing Grace.”

Cask Republic in Norwalk offers a weekend brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm.  Upgrade to a “Boozey Brunch” to get two cocktails with a brunch plate for $29 per person.

Sunday is “Bunday” at Nom-eez!  Grab your 6 and 12 pack boxes of steamed buns to nosh on during game day.  Choose from pork, tuna, or veggie.

Taco Loco has extended its happy hour.  It now includes an extra hour and runs from 2-6pm Tuesday-Friday.  They’ve also added a Sunday happy hour from 12-4pm.  Partake in all day drink specials and select $5 appetizers.

Culinary Works has announced Festive Holiday Fare classes in their New Canaan and Stamford Showrooms.  Enroll now for a seat in their New Canaan location on November 29 or in Stamford on December 1 at 630PM. The price for each of the classes is $115. 

Napa and Company continues their wine class series with “Luxury Wines from California’s Central Coast” on Monday November 21.  The class will highlight wines like Seasmoke and Dauo alongside tasty small plates.  It costs $75 per person.
