Walrus + Carpenter in Bridgeport hosts a “Compin and Stompin Jam Session” on Tuesday July 28.  Try some of their delicious BBQ while listening to a mix of swing, modern, and fusion.  

New England Brewing Company is taking over the taps at Prime 16 in New Haven on Wednesday July 29.  Enjoy their classics while also witnessing the release of some new beers.  It starts at 4pm. 

Wednesday July 28 6-8pm, learn about (and sample!) Brooklyn's Ginsmiths’ Gins at the Center Street Public House in Darien.  Center Street Public House also invites softball teams to the pub after their weekend games for $2 off draughts, house wines, and appetizers.

The New CT Farmer Alliance has a summer potluck series.  The event is free to farmers of all ages- all they ask is that you bring a plate and fork for yourself and a dish to share with others.  On Friday July 31, it will be held at the Unbound Glory Homestead in Pomfret, CT.  

4-H Fairs are taking place across CT:

The Middlesex and New Haven County 4-H Fair is Friday July 31-Sunday August 2.  http://www.4-hfair.org/

“The Craft Brew Races” comes to New Haven on August 1.  The event is a 5k road race followed by a beer festival with over 40 breweries, local food vendors, and live music.  The race starts at noon and the festival goes from 12:30 – 4pm.  Prices start at $45.  

The first ever Western Connecticut Farm Crawl will take place on Sunday August 1 from 9am-3pm.  Participating farms invite you to come visit them for tours, activities, and more.  

Kona Grill, with a location in Stamford, has launched a new “Invigorate” menu inspired by summertime adventures.  New offerings include garlic rock shrimp flatbread, churrasco, banana cake, and a pomegranate mojito.
