New Canaan Wine Merchants is providing bottles from around the world to sample. Aquarium educators will staff a touch tank featuring live animals from Long Island Sound. If you are driving on Route 1 in Norwalk and approach the Lillian August warehouse, that brightly colored truck you may see sitting in the parking lot is none other than Melt Mobile Truck #2. Grilling some great sandwiches, we hope they thrive at this location, since they deliver some mighty good sandwiches. The Brews & BBQ 2014 will be held in Ives Concert Park on May 17 in Danbury. Johnny Utah’s had its Grand Opening this past weekend on Washington Street in SONO. Featuring a mechanical Bull (Bull naming contest in process) and reasonably priced food, this may be the next destinations for the 20-something set.

Likewise, down the street, the Beer Garden had its Grand Opening this past week.

As they say things come in threes and a new Italian restaurant, QUARTINO Trattoria & Vineria, will open shortly at 120 Washington Street.

Sad News. Many of us learned this week that Redding Roadhouse will close its doors after dinner service this Saturday. They state that failed negotiations with their landlord as the reason. In addition to fostering the local Farm to Table movement, they employed 30. Read our last review here.
