Nicole Straight

Quick Facts: Award-winning chef and owner of Time to Eat cooking school devoted to teaching busy parents how to prepare fresh, healthy meals for their families in 15 minutes; (See current class schedule below) Cookbook writer; Regular guest chef on local and national television; Lives in Westport with her husband and 2 girls.

My current food cravings are: Basil, tomato, mozzarella sandwich on a baguette

My fast food weakness is: Kentucky fried chicken extra crispy, dipped in gravy....

If I could be any Iron Chef, I would be: I don't watch the show, but know I could beat 'em all at making a 15 minute meal for a hungry family!!

My favorite restaurant in Fairfield County is: Pho Mekong at the moment

My favorite restaurant in the Tri-State area is: Kelly and Ping -in the City...

Restaurant dish I wish I could make at home: The crispy fried soft shell crab with red curry and sticky rice from Pho Mekong

My go-to dinner party entrée is: Grilled steak with Argentinian Chimmichurri sauce.

When I’m not eating, I’m…Cycling

Prepared food I have let people think was home-made…Olive tapenade from Trader Joe's, why make it yourself when this one is so good, it's always in my pantry.

I’d rather pick (pumpkins, apples, or strawberries): Strawberries for sure

The last book I enjoyed was: Dune Road by Jane Green

My favorite movie of all time is: I really don't have just one, however I have always loved Amadeus...
