Jennifer Spaide

Quick Facts: Jennifer Spaide currently lives in New Canaan.  She is a mother, a personal chef, freelance writer and founder of GreenChic™.  Jennifer is dedicated to inspiring individuals to get fresh in the kitchen and enjoy foods that not only taste great but are good for you too!

My current food cravings are: anything involving cheese or dark chocolate, veggie dumplings and bean curd soup from Jani in Wilton, genmaicha green tea

The only fast food I will eat is:  french fries, when I am having a bad day

If I could be any Iron Chef, I would be:  Hmm…it’s a toss up between Cat Cora- gotta support the women in the industry! and Chef Morimoto- love Asian flavors!

My favorite restaurant in Fairfield County is:  Plum Tree in New Canaan, Columbus Park in Stamford

My favorite restaurant in the Tri-State area is: Nick & Toni’s Cafe, 67th & Columbus in New York City

Restaurant dish I wish I could make at home:  Sushi rolls

My go-to dinner party entrée is:  Grilled Salmon with some kind of yummy sauce

When I’m not eating, I’m…. Cooking!  Or writing and hanging out with my son.

Prepared food I have let people think was home-made: None.  I always own up eventually.

I’d rather pick (pumpkins, apples, strawberries):  Apples and peaches.

The last book I enjoyed was:  Eat Me! Love, Sex and the Art of Eating

My favorite movie of all time is: Dirty Dancing, and I’m not ashamed to admit it!

My favorite food related movie of all time is: not sure I have one yet, but I bet Julie & Julia  will be a fav once I actually see it.
