Newly opened Aspetuck Brew Lab in Bridgeport will host a Stoked Flame Fest from 2pm til close in their parking lot on Saturday September 10.

Friday September 9 marks the Grand Opening of The Halal Guys in New Haven.  Starting at 11am, 5 grand prize winners can win free food for one month, the first 1000 guests will receive free swag, and everyone can celebrate the debut of the New Haven location.  Find them at 906 Chapel Street.

Every Tuesday night, join Walrus + Carpenter for a Compin’ + Stompin’ Jazz Jam Session.  The evening features featuring Ian Tait, Scott Packham and Ted Morcaldi playing a mix of swing, modern and fusion.

The 11th Annual Brass City Brewfest comes to Waterbury on Saturday September 10.  The festival brings together over 125 breweries and brewpubs to showcase some of their best beers.  Proceeds go toward Main Street Waterbury, a non-profit organization committed to the continued revitalization of Downtown Waterbury, CT.  General admission tickets are $35 per person. 

If you’ve ever thought of making your own wine, The Wine Press in North Haven can help.  On Friday September 9, their 2016 Fall Wine Tour and Tastings gives you the chance to tour of the facility and try some wines from California.  Light hors d'oeuvres and paired cheeses will be available as well.  The events costs $25 per person and tickets are limited.  http://thewinepressct.com/ 

The annual Best of West Hartford Awards Show takes place on Thursday September 8 in the West Hartford Auditorium.  Enjoy great food and drink from readers’ favorite places.  There will also be an auction, giveaways, and more.

Tickets are on sale now for the Wood Fired Pizza Pop-Up with Chef Paul Barron of Weekend Kitchen The event, which will take place at Stonewall Farm, includes a tour of the farm, pizza prepared from locally sourced ingredients, salad, dessert, and wine.  The pop-up runs from 9/16-9/18 with seatings starting at 5:30pm.
