CTbites Team

The Fairfield dining scene is a booming and vibrant one. In fact, there’s so much talent and great food that TownVibe and Fairfield Magazine have decided to celebrate the many and varied restaurants in town by organizing the  Taste of Fairfield.  Last year, for its 10th Anniversary celebration, Fairfield Magazine partnered with the Fairfield Public Library for a mini tasting event, and it was such a success they decided to expand on the idea. This year’s Taste of Fairfield will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 1pm to 5pm, at the Delamar Hotel in Southport.

While the list of participants is not yet complete, you can expect to nosh on some great bites from the following: Artisan, Aspetuck Brew Lab, B.Good, Brick & Wood, The Cakebox, Donut Crazy, Fairfield Cheese Company, Freshii Fairfield, Flipside Burger Bar, Geronimo Tequila Bar, Joe’s American Bar & Grill, Little Goose, The Little Pub, NOM-EEZ, Old Post Tavern, Quattro Pazzi, Mecha Noodle Bar, Lobster Post, Sweet & Simple Bake Shop, Taberna Tapas, The Chelsea, Toto, and The Whelk/Kawa Ni. Together, these restaurants create an array of delicious and diverse options and really represent what Fairfield has to offer. In addition to the food, guests will enjoy craft cocktails and beer, artisanal wine and sweets.

"We are looking forward to hosting the first Taste of Fairfield at Delamar Southport and Artisan Restaurant and welcoming our friends and colleagues in the hospitality industry and making it a memorable event for the community. " Executive Chef and Partner Frederic Kieffer of Artisan Restaurant, Tavern and Garden at Delamar Southport.

Taste of Fairfield is hoping to showcase the area’s top talents as well as the varied and diverse selections available as is reflected in throughout the town. Guests will find themselves enjoying a wide selection of foods including sustainable and seafood-focused, old-school Italian comfort food, nouveau Mexican-style cuisine, Mediterranean, Vietnamese, and Pub Fare.
