The Loft in Sono turns 20 on August 5th and they are celebrating with a party. Doors @9pm, half price drinks and a kickin DJ. Happy anniversary!

Litchfield County is hosting its first food truck festival on August 6 and 7.  In addition to celebrating the mobile cuisine, there will be vendors, crafters, antique dealers, and more.  It will take place at the Terryville Fairgrounds. 

On Monday nights, The Fez offers ½ price bottles of wine off the entire wine list!  It’s also game night where guests can pull out the checkers, bananagrams and more.

Visit the Avon Free Public Library in Avon, CT for their Farmers Market on Monday nights from 4-7pm.  It features 15 local farms, vendors, and purveyors.

The Sign of the Whale, Stamford’s rooftop beer garden, now has a lobster dinner special every Tuesday night.  Dig into a 1.25 pound lobster, corn, new potatoes, and sausage for $24.95.  The promotion starts at 5pm and continues while supplies last.

Vespa in Westport will host its first beer dinner on Wednesday August 3!  They have created a delicious 3 course dinner to go with beers from Captain Lawrence Brewing Company.  The menu includes Rosemary Calabrian Chicken Wings, Braised Short Rib, and S'mores.  It costs $55 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and seats are limited. Hop Haus Craft Beer and Restaurant in Plantsville continues its Meet the Brewery series on August 4 with New England Brewing Company.  Try the beer and enjoy giveaways from 6-9pm. 

Jones Family Farms’ winery in Shelton, CT is extending its hours on Fridays in August.  Spend summer nights with them on their patio from 4-7pm.  There will also be seasonal treats from the farm and live music.

Eastend in Greenwich has launched a weekday "Express Lunch." Now a two-course lunch for $19 per person and a three course lunch for $24 are available alongside the a la carte menu.  They have also debuted outdoor seating.

Country music and food trucks collide in Danbury on Saturday August 6!  The Country Music and Food Truck Rally takes place from 3-10pm.  Participating food trucks include Admiral Gyros, Ay! Arepa, Baskin Robbins, Chief Brody's Banh Mi, Christiano's, Cristophe's Crepes, Dad's Food Truck, Firehouse Grill, Have a Ball, Nosh Hound, Streatery and Szabo's Seafood, and Meat the Press.  Enjoy music by Whitewood and Tim Charron.  The event takes place on the Danbury City Center Green.

Taste of Carribean & Jerk Festival arrives in Hartford on Saturday August 6.  From 1-11pm, enjoy cuisine representing the English, Spanish and French speaking Caribbean countries.  There will be plenty of music, too!  It takes place at the Mortensen RiverFront Plaza.  Entry is free.

Watefront Park in New London, CT will be the site of a food truck festival on Saturday August 9 from 6-9pm.  In addition to the array of trucks, there will be activities for the whole family.

Cask Republic New Haven has launched a Sunday night pig roast series.  Every Sunday, they’ll roast an entire suckling pig while featuring a different craft brewery.  $25 includes a plate with side dishes and sauces.  http://caskrepublic.com/new-haven 

Connecticut Landmarks presents Edibles in the Garden on Sunday August 7.  They have found local berry varietals that can be used to make tasty baked goods and teas.  Join them at the Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden from 1-2:30pm.  The event is free, but donations are encouraged.
