The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Connecticut will hold its 34th Annual Winter Conference on March 12 & 13 at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury.  Connecticut’s largest organic farm, food, and garden conference includes a keynote speaker, classes, seminars, and a Saturday lunch sponsored by popular restaurants like Kawa Ni, The Whelk, Barcelona, Wave Hill, Mill Street Bar & Table, and more.  Reserve online and get additional information by visiting ctnofa.org/winterconference.

Wilton Restaurant Week runs from March 7-13.  Visit popular restaurants like Little Pub, Cactus Rose, and Cielo will have specials all week long.

Cafe Allegre in Madison, CT will pair cuisine of Campania and wines from Southern Italy on Tuesday March 8.  With Chef Sylvio Suppo at the helm, it’s sure to be an evening to remember.  It costs $86 per person. 

AMG Catering continues its Adult Winter Cooking Classes with a Winter Fish class on Tuesday March 8.  From 7-9pm, participants will cook with arctic char, halibut and Yellowfin tuna.  It costs $90 per person.  

“Connfection” 2016 will take over the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Wednesday March 9.  The celebration gives guests the chance to try Connecticut grown food along with local wine and beer.

Have you ever thought about making your own Limoncello?  The Wine Press in North Haven is giving you the opportunity to learn on Friday March 11 from 7-9pm.  The class will do the first step of the process together, watch a demo of the second step, and receive materials to continue the process at home.  Guests can also enjoy appetizers and sangria.  It costs $35 per person and sign-ups are required.  Please call (203) 777-9463.  You will need to bring some of your own ingredients so be sure to ask for additional information. 

The Greater Norwich Area will start its own version of restaurant week on Friday March 11.  Places like Caddyshack Restaurant, Jack’s Brick Oven Pizzeria, and the Yantic River Inn will offer specials through March 20.

Shell & Bones Oyster Bar & Grill in New Haven has started to serve Saturday brunch in addition to Sunday brunch.  

Bar Sugo in Norwalk has a number of exciting weekly events!  Enjoy ½ off wine every Sunday and Monday.  On weekdays from 4-6pm, join them for a happy hour that includes ½ price cocktails, beer, and wine by the glass as well as cichetti’s and pizza.  And don’t forget Sunday brunch from 11am-3pm!

Wave Hill’s legendary Irish Soda Bread is back for a limited time!  Their special version of the classic contains whiskey-soaked raisins  and is made from only natural ingredients.  Stop by to try it or buy your loaf. 

Brian Lewis,’ The Cottage in Westport, is now open on Sundays for Brunch and Supper service.  This is the first time that the restaurant has been open on Sundays. To celebrate, Lewis is offering two courses from the Brunch menu, along with a glass of bubbly, for $25 per guest. Brunch service runs from 11:30am - 2:30pm, and Supper from 5:30pm - 9:00pm.
