EMBODY Fitness Gourmet is now open at the new Heritage Square complex on Forest Street in New Canaan!  Embody offers a fitness inspired menu, a 14-foot community table, and easy plug-in and charging stations for guests.  This is Embody's third location in Fairfield County, CT.  You can also visit them in Darien and Westport.

New Haven Restaurant Week lasts until November 4.  Popular restaurants like 116 Crown, Miya’s Sushi, Shell & Bones and Olea are participating. 

On Thursday November 3, Fjord Fish Market, Greenwich Cheese, and Fleishers, will host the 2nd annual "Monger Mingle.” This year, guests can get in the holiday spirit by sampling holiday-inspired food from all three.  It will take place THE HUB (160 E Putnam Avenue) from 7-9.

On Sunday, November 6 from 11am-1pm, blogger, photographer, chef, and author Gina Homolka will sign her newest cookbook and #1 New York Times Bestseller, Skinnytaste Fast and Slow: Knockout Quick-Fix and Slow-Cooker Recipes, at Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk.  Stew Leonard’s chefs will prepare her recipe for Slow Cooker Bahn Mi Rice Bowls and offer it at Norwalk store’s hot bar starting November 2.  Participants can sample her Slow Cooker Turkey White Bean & Pumpkin Chili during the book signing event as well.

Chef Dori Greenspan will be at the Fairfield University Bookstore Downtown for a book talk & signing of her new book Dorie's Cookies on Sat Nov 5th at 1:00 pm. More info here

Healthy Soils: Organic Alternatives Workshop will unfold at Massaro Community Farm in Woodbridge on November 2.  Keynote Speaker, Brandon Smith, has extensive experience with soil composition and organic production.  The workshop runs from 9:30am-3:30pm.  Space is limited. 

The Beer’d Brewing Company is celebrating 4 Years of Beer on Friday November 4.  A ticket includes 3 beers, food, a limited edition glass, and the chance to enjoy live music and a photo booth.  Additional beer will be available at the cash bar. 

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center invites you to its Stamford Chili Charity Cookoff on Sunday November 6 from 11am-3pm.  The event will benefit the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.

The Discovery Museum in Bridgeport will host a Harvest Brew Fest on Saturday November 5.  Taste beer from Two Roads Brewery, Charter Oak Brewing, Black Hog, Back East Brewing, Veracious and Maltose Express, and Aspetuck Brew Lab.  Proceeds go to support the museum.  

If you’ve ever wanted to learn butchery basics, visit Fleishers in Westport for “Beef Butchery 101” on Tuesday November 1.  The class runs from 7-9pm and costs $100 per person. 

Yoga meets beer at Firefly Hollow Brewery in Bristol, CT.  On Sunday November 6, $25 gets you an hour of yoga instruction along with a pint.  

Globe Pequot is proud to announce the release of The New England Orchard Cookbook: Harvesting Dishes and Desserts from the Region’s Bounty, by Linda Beaulieu.  The book includes more than 200 recipes from local orchards and mills as well as short pieces on the farmers and artisans behind them.  The book includes recipes for a Stuffed Sugar Pumpkin, Bourbon Apple Ribs, a Peach Blueberry Upside Down Cake, Quince Salsa, and much more!

AMG Catering & Events has announced its Adult Cooking Class Schedule for Winter 2017.  

Kids eat free at Acuario Restaurant in Stamford!  On Mondays and Tuesdays, kids can get Pollo a la Brasa free from 5-8pm.

The Mac & Chili Challenge is back! Sunday November 6th at Sherwood Island State Park - Westport 11:00-3:00. Vote for your favorite mac n' cheese and chili just two days before you'll be voting in our national election. Enjoy unlimited sampling of  20 different chilis and mac 'n cheese entries from great local restaurants. Tickets are just $15 adults, $5 kids (6-12) can be bought online or at the door.
