Monday nights at elm in New Canaan are the place to be!  Try their signature burger along with a draft beer for just $15.  Chef Luke will be serving up some bites perfect for football as well, such as Short Rib Chili, Smoked Pork Sliders, and Korean BBQ Wings.

AMG Catering’s Fall Adult Cooking Classes are officially underway!  The season begins with “Thirty Minute Meals” on Tuesday September 22.  Learn how to make 3 entrees- chicken, beef, and fish- along with side dishes in under 2 hours.  The class costs $90 per person and goes from 7-9pm.  Buy tickets here:

Max Restaurant Group has two exciting events this week. Tuesday Sept. 22: Avion Tequila & Cocktail Dinner at Max Fish in Glastonbury, CT. Thursday Sept 24: Pigs & Pinot Tasting at Max Downtown in Hartford, CT

The Mark Twain House in Hartford hosts “Tapping into Twain” Oktoberfest 9/25 from 5:30-9:30. $45 in advance ($40 for members). Brewers include: Hartford Better Beer Co., Hooker Brewery, Bru Room, Top Shelf Brewing, Stony Creek Brewery, Boston Beer Co., Witch Doctor Brewing, and Shebeen Brewing Co. Plus, scrumptious food from local restaurants -- including pizza, pasta, jambalaya, sliders and pulled pork.

The Weekend Kitchen in Essex will teach you to make Spanish dishes during their “Taste of Spain” class on Friday September 25.  Chef Jennifer Magrey will guide you through dishes like Catalan Fish Stew (Suquet de Peix), Chicken and Ham Croquettes (Croquetes de Pollastre Pernil), Fried Potatoes (Patatas Bravas), Almond Cake (Gato Ametlla)… and even Sangria!  6:30-10pm, $75 per person.  

On Monday September 21, The Watch Factory Restaurant in Cheshire, CT is hosting an Austrian Wine Dinner.  Chef Marcus Patsch is famous for his authentic Austrian cuisine and guest speaker Eric Litchfield will teach diners all about wines like Gruner Veltliner and Zweigelt.  4 course dinner 6:30-9pm, $85 pp. 

On Saturday September 26, Cellar XV in Ridgefield is hosting an epic wine and craft beer tasting called “Woofs, Wines, and Felines.”  Proceeds go towards ROAR, the (no-kill) Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue.  The night includes over 60 wines and brews, Oktoberfest inspired foods from Ciao! Catering, live entertainment by the Griffin Anthony Full Band, and a silent auction.  Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door.  The event goes from 4-7pm.

The Stamford Museum and Nature Center will be hosting its Fall Farm to Table Supper on Saturday, September 26 at 6 pm and will feature Executive Chef Joe Jenkins of Apogee Events. This exceptional dining experience, sponsored by First County Bank, will take place in the intimate setting of the Bendel Mansion. The evening will begin with artisanal hors d’oeuvres and cocktails to be enjoyed during an exclusive gallery tour with artist and environmental advocate Nancy Judd in her new exhibition, ReDress: Upcycled Style by Nancy Judd.  Tickets are currently on sale for the Fall Farm to Table Supper.  The cost is $200 per person or $2,500 for a table sponsorship of ten tickets.
