Weekly Nibble: Tequila Dinner, Chocolate Tasting, Valentine's Cooking Classes & More

Bodega of Fairfield presents and Azuniza Tequlia Dinner on Monday February 9.  It includes 5 courses such as tres guacamoles, surf & turf tacos, and skirt steak Churssaco alongside with Azuniza cocktail pairings.  It starts at 7:30pm and costs $65 plus tax and gratuity ($75 at the door).  Email david@bodegatacobar.com for details and to reserve.

Also on Monday, Analiese Paik of the Fairfield Green Food Guide presents a “Single Origin Chocolate Tasting Workshop” at Olivette, located at 1084 Post Road in Darien.  It lasts from 6:00-8:00 pm and costs $25 per person. 

Napa & Co’s Wine Classes continue with “Sinful Zinfandel” on Monday February 9th. Sample examples from Rombauer, Titus, Ridge, Old Ghost, Four Vines and Robert Biale. It costs $85pp (plus tax and gratuity) and starts at 6:30pm.

Journey through Italy with Bar Sugo's “Serie Vino” Italian Wine Class & Food Pairing Series. Discover the Different Regions of Italy with One Sip & One Bite at a Time.  Tuesday February 10, explore Piedmont. Each class is $35 per person (plus gratuity) with a maximum of 20 people attending.  It starts at 7:00pm.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Barcelona South Norwalk presents a “Romantic Desserts Class” to be held on February 10.  It begins at 7pm and costs $29 per person, plus tax and gratuity.  To make a reservation, please call the restaurant at 203.899.0088.

Stew Leonard’s in Newington has several upcoming children’s cooking classes for children.  Toddlers (ages 2-5) can make heart shaped treats and cookies on the following dates and in the following sessions.  It costs $15 per child, and they must be accompanied by an adult.

Tuesday February 10: 9:30-10:30am or 11:30am-12:30pm

Friday, February 13: 9:30– 10:3am or 11:30am-12:30pm

Saturday, February 14, 2015: 9:30-10:30am

They will also have a special class for kids ages 6 and up on Valentine’s Day, Saturday February 14.  We  It will feature heart shaped pizzas, filled cupcakes, and chocolate heart pretzel pops.  $25, 11am-12:30pm.

Waterbury’s Mattatuck Museum will welcome some of Connecticut's finest local brewers and restaurants for Febtoberfest!  It is a follow-up to 2014's hugely popular Bier-Fest for Bierstadt. Artisan Restaurant in Southport will have a special 4 course prix-fixe Valentine’s Dinner on Saturday February 14.  Choose from dishes like Brandied Lobster Bisque, tuna tartare, branzino “a la plancha,” and more.  End the meal with delectable sweets from pastry chef Isella.
