Tuesday December 9, Local in Fairfield will team up with Allagash for a “Casual Beer Dinner.”  Enjoy 5 dishes like bacon cheddar risotto alongside delicious brews.  You can even enjoy Founders Breakfast Stout a la mode for dessert!  $45 per person, 7pm.

Wine lovers can also attend a great event on Tuesday.  Golden View Firenze of Greenwich will host a Castello di Monsanto Wine Dinner from 7-9pm.  $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity.  Menu and reservations here. 

Tuesday is Burger Night at Darien Social. Every Tuesday there will be new burgers, specially created by their Chef, at great prices.

Freshii, with a location in Westport, is pleased to announce a Kids Eat Free initiative, aimed at helping kids eat healthy more often.  Check their website for news on the launch. 

On Thursday December 11, Terrain of Westport invites you to a Winter Beer Pairing Dinner with Two Roads Brewing Co of Stratford.  The four course dinner costs $48 per person, plus tax and gratuity.  Reservations are required.  Please call (203) 226-2750 to reserve your seats.

Also on Thursday, Strada 18 is hosting an Italian wine dinner showcasing some of Italy’s most captivating winemakers.  Chef David Raymer will prepare a multi-course dinner to accompany the wine selection. Melissa Mendez of the importer, Indigenous Selections, will be on hand to introduce guests to these wonderful wines.  It costs $100 per person and goes from 7-9pm.

On December 11, join the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Connecticut (“NOFA”) at Two Roads.  Guests can enjoy a beer or soft drink, unwind, talk about this past season, and learn the full brew cycle of their favorite local beers from the hop yard to the pint glass.  There will also be an Organic Hops Growing workshop from 6:30pm—7:30pm led by John Suscovich of Camps Road Farm in Kent, which grows their own hops to service their on-farm brewery, Kent Falls Brewing Company. Included in the $10 Fee for are light refreshments, 2 Raffle Tickets and a brief brewery tour.  Tickets are on sale now.

Norwalk’s Sugar & Olives will have “Farms and a Market” on Fridays from 3-7pm through February.  During that time, the store will transform into an indoor version of a farmers market, featuring local foods and gifts.  (This special event will not take place after Thanksgiving and Christmas.)

Fairway Market is kicking off their 6% for Sixty Program with a Sugar Savvy Solution book-signing event on Tuesday, December 9th from 3 – 5pm in the Stamford location.

BEER CONN descends on Bridgeport on Saturday December 13!  Over 50 breweries and 100 beers will come to Webster Bank Arena.  The day is divided into 2 parts: Session 1 from 12:30-4pm and Session 2 from 5:30-9pm.  Each ticket costs $35, plus tax and and an online transaction fee.  Designated driver tickets are also available.  http://www.beer-conn.com/ 

Overshores Brewery of East Haven is making its big debut with a Grand Opening & Holiday Bash celebration on Saturday December 13.  Enjoy live music, food trucks, limited edition beers, and more from 12-4pm.

The Westport Farmers Market will take place indoors at Gilbertie’s Herb Garden through March 14.  The hours are now Saturdays from 10am-2pm.

On Sunday December 14, Charter Oak Brewing Company’s brewmaster will be at Fairway Wine & Spirits in Stamford (next to Fairway Market) from 1-4pm.  You can try all the beers and learn more about them.  This free event takes place from 1-4pm.
