Next month, Victory Brewing Company, makers of Hop Devil, Golden Monkey & etc., will release a new series of their beers which have been aged in wine and bourbon barrels. Victory beers have rightfully become increasingly popular, which has necessitated a second brewing facility, and freed up room in their original location for Red Thunder (Baltic Thunder porter aged in red wine barrels), Oak Horizontal (Old Horizontal barleywine aged in bourbon barrels) and White Monkey (Golden Monkey Belgian style ale aged in white wine barrels). Red Thunder launches Nov. 21, and the others will follow in December and February, respectively. For more on oaked ale and Hop Devil, take a trip in the wayback machine.
