CTbites Team
It’s officially the last month of Summer ‘11 and we bring you updates to help you see it off with a bang: lots of beer, outdoor parties, and one fantastic burger. What else is August for?

A Dinner Party and the whole city’s invited... Stamford is throwing a bash to pump up its dining scene on Wednesday, August 10. It kicks off at 5:30 on the UConn campus with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails by ZAZA, Kujaku, Black Bear, and others, then takes guests to their choice of a dozen restaurants, among them Barcelona, Quattro Pazzi, and Tappo. Via The Feast, find more info on the event and reservations here.

There are still seats left for The Schoolhouse at Cannondale's October 19th Farm Dinner at Millstone Farm. Four courses made with local foods, served family-style, no corkage fee, sit under the stars.

And in case you missed it: A few weeks back, CTbites contributor Jeff “jfood” Schlesinger teamed up with Matt Storch to create the Match Burger, offered every Thursday night at Match in SoNo. We hear it’s pretty bacon-cheddar-onion-damn amazing...

Stamford Restaurant Week starts August 21st. More details coming soon.

Congrats to Sugar & Olives for receiving the Green Restaurant Association's three star certification this week...the only restaurant in CT to have been awarded this honor!
Morello Bistro in Greenwich has just opened up a new outdoor patio. Dine al fresco for your next meal.

Good news for thirsty commuters: Brooklyn’s Beer Table opened its much-awaited outpost at Grand Central this week, featuring close to 100 international bottled brews and a selection of regional half-gallon “growlers.” More NYC openings and closings on New York Times.
