The 8 Best Pizzas in Connecticut via Slice.com

The final word on all things pizza can generally be found on Slice.com. They recently reviewed the CT pizza scene. Here's what they had to say.
Connecticut is the buckle of the Northeastern pizza belt, which stretches from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts. More specifically, the New Haven style of pizzanot only is one of the first uniquely American pizza styles, but it has been preserved by a cluster of family-run establishments which still in many cases use the original equipment, now almost a century old.
Naturally New Haven might be considered Connecticut's pizza capital, but the state has dozens of great pizzerias. Few other places in the country have as much great pizza per capita (PPC). These are the best eight pizzas in Connecticut that we have had to date.

I was building up a nice frothing outrage as I clicked over to see what effrontery was on tap, and... I can't argue with even one of those.

Finally! Roseland gets a shoutout. I've been going since I was a kid. It's always crowded and people order two and three pizzas to go, and that's after they just had pizza at the restaurant. I am guilty of doing the same.
Pepe's is the best, I have been going there since I was a kid. Roseland is pretty good I went there once or twice. Sally's is very good too. Bar which was not mentioned is just as good as Pepe's.

Haven't always had the specific pies at the specific places, but hard to argue with the joints.
Connecticut does not know how to make pizza. All wanna be pizza. Johnnies in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. Go and see the real deal.
Mulberry Street is not only in very good company but out of the New haven area...please come up and give us a try...we will do our best to live up to the illustrious company.
