Westport Farmers’ Mkt Celebrates 6 Yrs w/ a Party!

The Market is throwing a party and you are invited. Join in the celebration of the fall harvest season, six years of success and honoring Michel Nishan’s vision and support for this community event. Thursday, October 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Westport Farmers’ Market, located in the Imperial Avenue parking lot.

Did you say party? This Thursday enjoy specialty lunch items from some of your favorite vendors like Skinny Pines Pizza and Sugar & Olives.  Skinny Pines is preparing Greyledge pulled pork sandwiches on Sono Baking Co’s rolls – be sure to get them while they last.

The Jay Stollman Band is rocking the event with his acclaimed band. Whether you are one of the first to get a Westport Farmers Market t-shirt, sample Michel’s secret heirloom grain dish or chill with some friends over lunch this Thursday will be an event you won’t want to miss

We will celebrate our six years of success and toast to the future while honoring the vision and efforts of Michel Nischan. Michel and Shelly Kassen, Second Selectwoman, will be sending the market into the next six years at 12:00 under the Market booth. Come help them blow out the candles of the past and ignite the future of the market.

This fun event is to help the Market keep going and growing. Proceeds will go directly to the continued efforts of WFM. Now, you can really have your kale and eat it too by giving back to the very market that gives you so much week after week. All donations are tax deductible.

Andrew's Honey is a regular fixture at the market so I would go with yes.

Im sure it's great- but for those of us who work 9-5 attending this farmers market is impossible!!!!
Weekdays for many of us are workdays- Can they change it to Saturday next year?
