If you haven't been able to attend our CTbites lunches, how about joining us for $5 margaritas & FREE tastings @ South Norwalk's new and much talked about Red Lulu?
Tell me more: CTbites & Red Lulu are hosting a special Cocktail Event on Tuesday, November 30th, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Red Lulu. We’ll be shaking up special $5 margaritas and enjoying free samples from Red Lulu’s Mexican-inspired menu as we get to meet and mingle with CTbites readers, contributors and foodies.
Signature Cocktail: A gathering of epicurean proportions, our cocktail event wouldn’t be complete without a signature cocktail. Red Lulu will be mixing the CTbites special $5 margaritas with PaQui tequila, a bold and balanced spirit that should go down easy (especially @ $5).
+ Food: Bring your appetite as we'll get to sample Red Lulu's Mexican-inspired menu, a modern take on traditional Mexican dishes.

Very exciting! Looking forward to it!
I just recently went to Red Lulu with my boyfriend on a Friday night. The place has a beautiful decor, but the bar was so packed with people having dinner at the bar not giving us room to order our drinks. It's a busy place and with people eating right at the bar makes it very hard to ask for drinks. Our wait happened to be 45 minutes, which turned more into an hour and we had no place to seat and talked while we waited. Finally, we got seated upstairs and I had to request three clean wine glasses. The place was very dark but I managed to see the dirty glass. Our waiting for some strange reason was not checking the wine glasses before bringing them over. The food was just ok and the portions very small. My boyfriend was not impressed and refuses to go back. I will probably go back with my girlfriends but definitely not a place for a guy. Also, the staff was not very friendly.
Wish I could make it - I've got a conflict. But sounds like a blast and I look forward to the next one!
We'll miss you Mal! Just realized there is the event at the Avon as well. We'll look forward to seeing you at our next soiree.
