Christina Venturini
Quick Facts: Christina Venturini is a Marketing & Communications professional, photographer and adventurous eater.
My current food cravings are: the Swordfish Meatballs at Amis Trattoria, Philadelphia; Grilled Octopus from Max Fish, Glastonbury; and for dessert, a Monaco from Market Table in Hanover, New Hampshire.
The only fast food I will eat is: I’m really not drawn to the drive-thru, so I have to say pizza, specifically Pepe’s sausage and mozzarella pie, at their original location. Though, I was recently turned on to the mashed potato and bacon white pie from BAR, also in New Haven, and it’s a very close second.
My favorite restaurant in the Tri-State area is: I have two amazing spots nearby, and I have a hard time choosing between them -- Still River Café in Eastford and Bricco Trattoria in Glastonbury.
Restaurant dish I wish I could make at home: From the size of my cookbook collection, there are plenty of dishes I’ve aspired to make at home, but just never gotten around to. One of these days!
My go-to dinner party entrée is: Slow Roasted Pork with Plum Chutney, but only if I have to make a traditional entrée. When you come over, I’m more likely to greet you with an abundance of cheese, antipasto and wine.
When I’m not eating, I’m…. Roadtripping with my husband and camera, or curled up with a book.
I’d rather pick (pumpkins, apples, strawberries) Apples at Harlow’s Sugar House in Putney, Vermont. It’s an annual tradition.
My favorite food related movie of all time is: Big Night
